Two of us went here for dinner out recently and had an amazing time. As soon as we got seated, they brought us a lovely pot of freshly brewed green tea. We had a combination fried rice (aka. mixed fried rice), beef noodles, deep fried shrimp sticks and dumplings. Everything was really delicious (although the flavour could be improved slightly to perfectly match our likings), the staff were remarkably kind, hospitable and attentive . The interior decor was really cosy and spacious. If you are in Chicago, and a Cantonese food lover, this is a must go place ? Thank you ?

The house tea was delicious. Some of the food was amazing, while some was just alright. The shrimp dumplings, sushi roll, and udon we ordered were fresh and delicious. We did not care for the duck appetizer or the chow mein, which were too greasy.

Everything was excellent. Balanced flavor, great presentation. Hot tea to begin with was great. We ordered wonton soup, shumai, pot stickers and twice cooked pork. Been awhile since I had asian food that everything was great. Not just 1 dish or 2 out of 20.

Highly recommend for sure

Ordered orange chicken, dumplings & stir fry noodles. The orange chicken was bland. The noodles were bland as well but edible. The pork bbq dumplings were not good they were very sweet and the meat didn’t have flavor. The tapioca in the bubble tea was hard & not good. The service was terrible. The teapot and some dishes were dirty before even being used. Traveled almost half an hour to eat & was very disappointed.

The sticky dumplings weren’t really my taste, but the rest of the dishes were above average for Chinese cuisine. The place is clean and spacious, even though it is near the art museum so you can enjoy your meal without feeling crowded by others.

We had a lovely dinner on their 2nd floor to try their newest sushi menu. Favorites include the oysters, nigiri, and foie gras filled bon bons. The food was nicely paced and the service was fantastic.

Usually come to Minghin for dimsum but review is for their new menu sushi - GREAT QUALITY SUSHI and beautiful upstairs!

Chutoro, Amaebi, Shiro Maguro, Namasake, and Hotate nigiris were 10/10 ?
I’d skip on Foie Gras and Wagyu nigiris.

For dimsum, our regulars are Beef Balls, Chicken Feet, Siu Mai, Baked Creamy Yolk Bun.

Pricier than other dim sum places, but they offer slightly larger portion sizes. The Bean Jelly (Liang Fen) had thin noodles, which was a nice change from thicker ones. They weren’t overly oily or too spicy. The Shrimp Crepe Roll (Cheung Fun) had soy sauce only at the bottom, which was odd as they usually sauce from top to bottom. Inside each roll were jumbo sized shrimp that were salty, but it balanced the blandness of the rice roll. The Siu Mai and Har Gow were also excellent. The interior is big and has a modern Chinese feel. For a Thursday brunch, it was strange not seeing any other customers, but maybe the location doesn’t attract typical dim sum goers.
