Had a fantastic dinner here at Circa 1875! The steak tartare was delicious and make sure you ask for a little extra crostini, you'll need it. The Sea Bass special was perfectly crispy and moist but could have done with a little more of the sauce. The scallops were perfectly cooked and very flavorfull. They made one of the best French 75 cocktails, I recommend!!

My girlfriend and I did not know what to expect when we arrived. We really enjoyed our waitress Betty. She was a witty French madam that took really good care of us. She was the highlight of our trip to savannah.

Best service we’ve had in a long time! Keegan was astounding made sure everything was 100% correct throughout dinner and never missed a step. The espresso martini and steak frites were phenomenal as well! Not only would we come back for the great drinks and food but also solely for the astounding service Keegan provided tonight. Keep it up!! We’ll be back!!

Hello. Without a doubt, the service along with the food is impeccable. I have to explain. My son is a college student in the area. It was his birthday. My husband and I weren't able to get out there to celebrate with him, so our son invited several friends to one of his favorite restaurants in Savannah; Circa 1875. I still wanted him to know, that evening, we were of course thinking of him and wishing him a wonderful time. A birthday cake! I needed to get one for him! I spoke to a lovely Circa employee, Emily. She gave me some thoughtful suggestions, and because of her and her generous nature I was able to facilitate one locally in Savannah. If it hadn't been for Emily, the cake never would have made it to the birthday table to help celebrate. Again, the food - always delicious, but the employees are certainly something special and should be treated as such. Thank you Circa 1875 family, you made the evening very special indeed.

Romantic french restaurant with high quality food. The escargot was a delicious garlic melt in your mouth appetizer, highly recommend the French onion soup and the bouillabaisse. Reservations recommended as we could walk right in and sit down immediately. Great selection of French wine varietals. Enjoy!

I would come back to Savannah just to eat here. Our server Chris was on the top of his game and treated us like vips. For the quality and quantity of food that you get, it's worth every penny, too.

All of the food was prepared perfectly, balanced, and packed with flavor. I now have a new favorite French Onion soup. And I never knew I needed freshly cracked black pepper as a garnish on my cocktail. I'm sad that I couldn't eat and drink more. I want to try everything on the menu. You really can't go wrong...order it all! ☺️

Thank you to the entire staff for making my 40th birthday dinner absolutely amazing! It's one I will never forget.

Great entrees and fresh seafood. We enjoyed scallops, the sea bass, crab cakes and a simple dessert. The wine selection was limited to a few French regions, but most of what I had was simple and solid. I did have 2 issues: we waited for the host to set up 5 tables from clearing to full set up before she acknowledged us, so we stood there for about 7 minutes blocking the entry way, and one of the 5 glasses of wine we had was vinegar tasting/smelling: it was probably a few days old or the cork had gone bad. The waiter was apologetic but I find it a bit unfair I was charged for something undrinkable. I’m not some snooty wine snob, it was sour and made eating impossible, so I had to say something, but still was charged.

Probably some improvements to be made in the service, but considering the turnover in clientele most places experience near the river, I was impressed with the food. I think we’ll stick with a bottle next time.

I had good service in the past but as of Saturday 12/21/24 Bill or Billy whatever his name is the manager was very rude because he didn't like the way that I tip his workers. If he would have been nicer and less pushy then I wouldn't have a problem tip them more. But since he wanted to be pushy and rude. I had to defended myself. I wasn't even yelling, cussing, or even calling him names, and yet he kicked me out, like really. He specifically told me that "it's my restaurant I can do whatever I want" like seriously, if he is going to act like this then he shouldn't work in the restaurant business. He's need to be fired or get somemore training on how to run a restaurant. I have never experienced this at a restaurant in my entire life. I definitely won't be coming back.
