A small and cozy cafe that has little seating indoors but is totally worth the wait. The pastelitos and the sandwich we ordered were so good. I wish I could have brought one home for all my family to try. I’d highly recommend this spot for brunch or lunch!
Service was great too - they gave us recommendations based on our needs and were very accommodating.

I have been to both the Miami shores location and this coral gables location. Both are fantastic and have great consistency. My mom is an older Cuban woman that is difficult to impress when it comes to eating out, and she loved the place. Her cafecito was perfect as well as my iced cafe con leche with almondmilk. Her cuban sandwich was also flawless. I got eggs with toast and they were able to cater to my dairy intolerance and omit the butter. I look forward to coming here again!

Fuimos a probar un café un rato antes de que cierren el local, por lo cual no pudimos probar los platos típicos que tienen para ofrecer. Pedimos un mocha y un cortado con leche evaporada. El café es bueno, buen sabor, buena temperatura. El local es pequeño pero muy acogedor. El personal fue muy amable y los precios son accesibles. Volveremos para probar los sándwiches típicos.

Some friends wanted to have lunch here since it's on the Michelin guide. The sandwiches are very good, but I wouldn't call it Michelin level. It's a small space so be prepared to wait for a table unless you want to sit at one of the four outside tables & bear the Miami heat. The coffee is also strong so be warned if they make you jittery. The croquetas, however, we're amazing. They have a small parking lot (for maybe 8 cars?) or paid, on-street parking.

El lugar es pequeño y acogedor. Casi siempre está lleno debido al espacio pequeño. Los alimentos tienen demasiada grasa. Observé que cocinan con mucho aceite y mantequilla y deberían reducir el consumo de grasas más que nada por la salud del público en general, además que deberían mejorar la calidad del café. El servicio es bueno y el ambiente es familiar.

Went here for lunch and a coffee for a business meeting. There was a wait and we were seated in about 10 to 15 minutes. I had a chai tea and empanadas (spinach, chicken and beef). They were decent. I'm a little sad that the moment I paid, the server told us they had a wait. I wasn't even done with my tea or empanadas. I love that this place discourages using phones and computers and encourages conversations.

Tinta y Cafe has rightfully earned high prestigious awards for its delicious food, but it is overshadowed by less than ideal and sub-standard service and staff.

Don't take your customers for granted, as there are many options throughout Coral Gables.

Not all, but many of the staff at Tinta y Cafe fall short when it comes to professionalism, service to client, and attitude. This reason alone will keep me from returning and hoping that if I do return in the future, that things will hopefully change.

The food is very pricey. For that reason alone, customers should receive better service.

Tinta y Cafe is centrally located in Coral Gables at a convenient location between neighborhoods and other shops. However, the parking lot is small and parking spaces were made smaller to accommodate more guests. Unfortunately it is a very tight space and getting in and out of the car is nearly impossible without hitting another car. Most times when the parking lot is full, there are illegally parked cars in the lot and staff does not take action to resolve this.

Outdoor sitting is very dusty, not clean and not well maintained. I would not want to sit outside, not even for the good food!

Indoor sitting is comfortable, if you can find a seat, but very crowded and everyone on top of each other. My guess is the owner opened a little coffee shop in a crowded neighborhood in Miami not thinking he would get many guests at the same time.

Overall, the food is great and tasty, but service is not! For me, customer service is EVERYTHING and I do not support businesses that do not value me as a customer.
