I've had the pleasure of not only working with The Collective Kitchen as a wedding photographer here in Whistler, but I also hired them to cater my own wedding back in 2017. John and his team are very professional when working any wedding, whether that be a small or large celebration. They bring their creative spirits to the plate, treating you to one of the best meals you will ever eat at a wedding. Their family style platters are pieces of art on your table. They are a joy to not only photograph by devour when placed in front of you. Cannot recommend them enough!!

We had The Collective Kitchen cater our intimate wedding dinner and could not have been happier! From start to finish, everything was excellent - from communications, to working with our schedule and (many) dietary restrictions, to the food itself! Carrie was so lovely and helpful throughout, as were the team who came to the house.
The food was absolutely outstanding, all our guests said it was some of the best wedding food they'd ever had, and personally it was one of the best meals I'd had in Whistler!

Supremely tasty food and incredible service. We hired Collective Kitchen to cater our wedding in January 2025 and couldn't have been happier. From start to finish, they had everyone talking about the food. Comments like "have you tried the bacon on this Caesar salad? It's insane" and people drooling over the steak main course and fighting for thirds should give you an idea of what you can expect.

Thanks so much for making our wedding day so wonderful and for keeping everyone full and fueled for the dance floor! The entire staff and team was an absolute dream.

We worked with The Collective Kitchen for our wedding and were blown away by the quality and service. We got married at the Canadian Wilderness Adventures location and didn't really know what to expect when we ordered off of the BBQ menu at the collective kitchen. The results were amazing, they cooked the food on-site and did an amazing job. I think everyone of our guests said it was by far the best wedding food they have ever had and many said it was some of the best food they have had in general.

The quality of everything was amazing. Everything seemed perfectly cooked and no one got anything that wasn't great. Since we had a smaller wedding we served all of the food family style and it felt so intimate. Weeks later our guests are still talking about the food.

We hired Collective Kitchen to cater a party of approximately 100 guests and we cannot say enough positive things about this choice. Carrie and John were great to communicate with in advance, and were incredibly accommodating of our needs. On the day of, the team of chefs, servers, and bartenders could not have been more professional, organized, clean, and kind. The food was delicious and we have had so many guests say how good every single item was. The bar was run efficiently and the bartenders were professional and took great care with crafting each drink. The house was left spotless after the event wrapped up, it was as though they were never there. If you are considering hiring Collective Kitchen for your event, all I can say is: do it!

I hired Collective Kitchen for my rehearsal dinner, wedding day and my Dad's 65th birthday because I cannot get enough!! The food is 10/10 and some of the best food I have ever had in my life and definitely the best wedding food I have ever had. The menu is extensive, local and extremely high quality making for a great meal. I still receive compliments to date about how great the food was at our wedding. As well, the staff is extremely friendly, and professional making a great addition to your event. I cannot wait until I have another milestone to have them cater!!

Unfortunately, we had a bad experience with this caterer. The main problem was communication. Getting a quote wasn't difficult but we struggled to book a tasting with them. Finally, after 5 months and 4 follow-up emails, we booked a tasting session. The tasting itself wasn't bad and the chef was very kind. However, after the tasting, we were surprised to receive an invoice for the tasting which we was never explicitly stated or explained to us (trust me, I looked through the email chains). Looking through the other reviews, it looks like no one else had communication issues so maybe they just didn't like communicating with us...

We just hired Collective Kitchen to host our private dinner for our small wedding. We choose their Texas BBQ menu. The service and food were both impeccable. The team just took over when they arrived, finding everything they needed themselves which allowed us relax, set a beautiful table, made sure guests had a drink in their hand at all times and the food was presented beautifully and tasted delicious. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for great food and excellent service.
