The Buccleuch Arms Hotel - Moffat

Nous sommes restés à deux occasions dans cet hotel : une fois en tant que motard en virée en Ecosse, une fois en tant que touriste en route pour l'île de Mull. A chaque fois, l'accueil est chaleureux par le proprio et son fils (tous les deux motards), mais aussi par tout le staff (accueil et restau). Les conseils sur les itinéraires et les routes à voir sont précieux et avisés. Les motos sont à l'abri dans un parking privé fermé, excellent !||Restau-bar super et abordable, service impec. Petit dèj excellent au choix continental ou à l'anglaise ! Je recommande vivement !

Stayed just one night but would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return. From the moment we entered the hotel we had First class friendly service from every member of staff, including breakfast and cleaning staff. Our double room was great and no problem accommodating our dog. We had an excellent evening meal in the restaurant and the breakfast was superb with freshly cooked full Scottish and many additional options too. The owner took time to speak to all guests and the family feel of the hotel was very evident. There has obviously been much consideration and effort put in to maximise the guests experience and it works impressively.

We stayed with a Harley chapter for a weekend.
The food was excellent and there was more than enough. The drinks were reasonably priced. The map and drying room facilities were great. But more impressive than that was the option to use individual bike garages which were secure and some heated! A very impressive hotel for bikers. We will be back!

I stopped here in the summer whilst on a cycle tour at the end of a long, cold slog of a day and I was so happy this hotel had a vacancy. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating and even offered secure parking for my bicycle. The bar is cozy and comfortable and pints very reasonably priced. The room was impeccably clean, comfortable, and modern and I slept very well. I stopped periodically at hotels every time I got sick of camping, and the Buccleuch Arms was far and away the best of them.

What can you say about this place Biking Nirvana!!! But brilliant if you're not a biker. Welcome and service - simply perfect. Room - great. Food - utterly delicious. Motorbike parking and facilities - spectacular. Location - wonderful. The people - stellar.

You really can tell that the Buccleuch Arms is a labour of love and the whole family and staff buy into it. A truly wonderful stay. I WILL be back.

We used the Buccleuch Arms Hotel as our base for a Dumfries & Galloway area motorcycle trip. The hotel is exceptionally well geared up for motorcyclists, walkers and cyclists. We got absolutely hammered with rain on our journey into Moffat and upon arrival the owner Dave could not be more helpful, we were greeted and the bikes put into secure parking, and shown the drying room so all clothing could be dried out ready for the following day. A welcome real ale beer and a lovely meal was served by such lovely and attentive staff, with a single aim to ensure your needs were catered for, they really could not do enough to ensure you were happy and had everything you needed.||The food was top quality and tasty, the rooms and facilities very well presented , and the owner Dave helped us out with his extensive knowledge on sat nav devices and route planning, (as the owners are keen motorcyclists themselves) to ensure a great holiday and to show us all the lovely spots of the local area on an extensible mapping and information system. ||This hotel has it well sorted for not just motorcyclists, but walkers, cyclists and birds or prey eagle watching, so much so we propose to return to do just that.||A cracking multi centre hotel that really needs to be experienced, and great value for money.||Very well done to all the staff at the. Buccleuch Arms, great overall experience thank you.

Friendly staff spotless rooms and excellent food i'll definitely be back. Excellent base for motorcycles, secure parking, knowledgeable owner who will provide routes and advice. Valeting kit available for your bike, kit drying room and second hand bike gear available. .

The family who run this hotel go to extraordinary lengths to make their guests feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are comfortable, clean and provide everything you might need. The food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Ours was an overnight stay but we will definitely be returning.
