Absolutely incredible experience! If you're looking for authentic Kenyan food, there is no other place in the city you should look. Their menu is constantly changing, so you know the food is fresh. And the owners are absolutely wonderful and welcoming. Great atmosphere, super reasonable prices. The Big 5 will be making its way into our regular rotation for sure!

Delicious home style Kenyan food. Order over the counter food is hot and fresh. Goat curry, rice and spinach was very flavorful! Service was great too! Be aware that the food is on the pricier side. The goat, spinach, and rice shown totaled $27.00. Not terrible but comparing to similar restaurants with over the counter style ordering and similar cuisine it should be below $20.00. Recommend giving it a try!

I watch a lot of YouTube & the trend at the time was trying African food. So I went on Google and searched for the closet restaurant near me that serves African food. I found The Big 5 African Cuisine, it was about a 30 minute drive, so we get there and bought one of everything! The owners/emplowere very nice and welcoming. Now for the food, it was very good and very flavorful, I would definitely be making another trip to The Big 5!

I have never had African food before I had actually you seen it on tiktok but I honestly can say Im happy I tried it. The pork stew and cabbage was so delicious!! Flavors that I have never tasted before! I absolutely loved it. The two workers were also amazing. They told me how much to heat it up for because I was taking it with me and even gave me a samosa which was absolutely delicious!! I'll definitely be going back!

Owner (Kenyan), extremely kind. Went with my Kenyan (Native) buddy, he gave the place 10/10. I enjoyed the curry chicken w/ rice & chapati the most. Food will vary in selection! Small place but quality food and good culture.

Delicious food and welcoming owners! My husband and I took over an hour drive to come and try this restaurant. They did not disappoint! Portions were plentiful and the food was well seasoned. We will be back for sure!

This food is 10 out of 10 good. We come here frequently. The chicken on Saturdays is delicious and we crave it during the weekdays they are closed. The menu changes between days, but definitely a very good food choice for Lancaster. Authentic Kenyan food!
