Taste has THE taste! We had dinner and drinks with Sabria as our server. She was so sweet, professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was nice and the music was great. If you’re looking for comfort food, a variety of drinks and R&B music, this is your place! Also, huge s/o to the GM, Greg! Thanks for welcoming us in!

This restaurant was absolutely amazing! I ordered the lamb chops with grits and eggs, and they were out of this world. The ladies with me went for the deep-fried lobster, but after tasting my lamb chops, they instantly regretted their choice—lesson learned! I had four perfectly tender lamb chops that had none of that wild game flavor, just a rich, steak-like marination that was unforgettable. Our waiter even mentioned they were the best lamb chops she’d ever had, and she’s tried them at plenty of places. The vibe was unique, with mostly Instagram models in the crowd and only a few guys around. I even covered the bill for my entire table. Highly recommended!

Taste Bar and Kitchen is my favorite ? restaurant in Houston, maybe even the world! It’s a MUST TRY if you’re in the area. I’ve been dining here for the last 4 years and love the downtown location. It has a nice bar and spacious with two floors and a private dining space in the basement. The food and service are consistently good. If they make an error, they are quick to correct it.

My favorite dish is the Taste of Soul. They have some of the best lamb chops in Houston. The elevated chicken and waffles are good. I’ve also had their lobster and grits. Their cocktails are beautifully crafted and delicious. My most recent visit was on July 27th, 2024. Toni served us and was amazing. She has great interpersonal skills and a sweet personality. I also tried the superstar sangria and it was delicious. Don’t walk, run to dine here!

This is by far one of my favorite spots in H-town!!!! From the time you walk in the door to the time you leave, this place is a vibe. The staff are EXCELLENT, the food is SPECTACULAR, and the ambiance is BEAUTIFUL!!! This black-owned restaurant is nothing short of EXTRAORDINARY!!!!!!! I’ve not had one bad experience with food or service. The management walks around checking on the patrons and keeping the positive vibes flowing. Definitely add this spot to your plans!!! Not a bad thing on the menu…and every single Elevated Grits plate is fabulous…you are welcome!!!!!!!!!!?

We ordered the oxtails and fried fish for lunch and both were absolutely amazing on yesterday‼️
Let’s just say I’m ready to go back to this restaurant today that’s just how scrumptious the food was.
The only small complaint is the music was a little to loud to conversate with the person I was with.

Jadyn, the host was exceptional. Greeted us with a smile and accommodated our seating request. Food and atmosphere was on ?. Love the new location and will definitely return. Greg, general manager, was on site and walked the restaurant and stopped to check on our service and experience. Lastly, our server, Danielle built rapport and answered all questions concerning menu items and brought so much energy to the table. She is an exceptional asset to the business. Highly recommended establishment if you're in the city and want a vibe!

Came in for happy hour on new year’s eve. Mary the bartender took the time to greet me and provided great service. Even though she appeared to be very busy. Music was great! everything was a whole vibe. I’ll definitely be back!!!!
