Came here specifically for soup dumplings, and they did not disappoint. Ordered the pork soup dumplings. There are 6 in each order. We weren't sure what to expect, but upon the first bite, we were immediately impressed and decided that they were delicious! Very flavorful. We could've easily ordered 2 orders, and it would've been enough to get us full! Ordered lo mein noodles that came with shrimp, chicken, need, and mussels. It was very flavorful and delicious as well. My husband ordered their fried pork chops and a side of rice. Very flavorful as well, and they were not greasy at all. This is a casual dining spot but also perfect for date night. Everyone was super pleasant and efficient. Definitely plan on coming back and trying other things on their menu. This is also located in a shopping center with plenty of parking spaces to choose from.

Update - I visited again, one week later, for dinner this time, as I needed my Asian food fix. See my original review below which was during lunch time. Sometimes you are blinded by new shiny things and you don't see the real picture. So here's the update. First and foremost, originally I thought the permanently attached fans on every wall was a great feature as it keeps the air moving. Now I realize that they are there because the business uses no air conditioning. And no, its not broken, I asked more than one employee. They are in a pretty new shop/building and it was off the first time we visited too a week prior. The only difference was a week prior was lunch and the outside temp was only 80 degrees and the fans were on full blast. This time it was for dinner, the sun was beating down right through the front windows, some of the fans were off (or broken), and it was at least 93 degrees outside. It was every bit of 90 degrees inside. Nothing like eating hot Asian food while sticking to the vinyl chairs. Second, forget about the fried rice as mentioned below - its only included for lunch. You don't get ANY rice with your main dish, not even a scoop of plain white rice. You can buy some for $11 to share if you wish - turning your $13-$18 entree into a $24-$29 dish. Not worth that much. And finally the service. You would think they would come around more often to offer or at least refill your drink/water - as you are eating hot food, in a hot dining room, while sitting on hot vinyl chairs, with hot air blowing all over you - you'd be wrong. The atmosphere and poor service takes away from the taste of the food. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, and try them again. I'll post a new update. In the meantime, get your food to go.

Original post - Best Asian food in all of Charlotte. Trust me! I would know as I've been looking for it for the last 25 years!! You will not regret a visit to Sizzle! The Sizzle LoMain (steak, chicken, shrimp, and mussels) was enough for three people. And the fried rice was the same price as the delicious white rice. Wow - what a concept!

Overpriced Chinese fast food, but not the good kind of Chinese fast food. Staple dishes like General Tsos Chicken were a complete miss. Worst of all, you'd think for $15 you'd at least get some rice or something but think again! If you want even a small scoop of white rice expect to pay extra for it. The food is presentable and looks good, but tastes very off. Chinese food this bad should be cheaper than other Chinese restaurants to be competitive, instead they are just flashy and expensive......strangest thing is it appears to be working as many people are here. Not sure if it's due to convenience of location or people just think more money = better ?. Either way we won't be returning here.

Went to Taste or Charlotte and tried some of their food, so for dinner we thought to give the actual place a try. The space is very small, so expect a wait at volume times. The menu is massive, and has everything from dumplings and bao, to Ramen and chinese inspiration of their mains. Tons and tons and tons of options. Thing were a little weird, like the staff had on a different restaurants shirts and the cups were cardboard with a different restaurants name...that aside, the food is where it's at. We tried tons of different options, and everything was simply delicious! From bao, to dumplings to chow fun and ramen. The kitchen needs to work on timing, as everything came out all at different times, so enjoying the meal was cumbersome. I think once they move to their larger location, things will work themselves out! Definitely go for a great chinese style foods, with other Asian delights. Menu is massive with things that will make you want to come back to try! Prices are astronomically LOW for the portions of food!

I don’t know why other reviews are being so harsh lol the food here is authentic and soooo good. It’s not a fancy place but if anyone has ever had proper dim sum, you know you’re going for the food not the ambiance. I’m from NY and it has been so hard finding a proper dim sum spot. I can’t speak on the main entrees because I came here strictly for dumplings. Maybe next time I’ll try one but the soup dumplings are phenomenal (ask for some chili oil on the side for a little heat ?️). I got the rainbow dumplings as well just because and they were very good too. Chicken Soup dumplings were my favorite. Will be back with friends and family.

Ok Sizzle! Great experience, small space so was lucky that we could sit without wait. It took a while for waitor to come and get started with our order since it was busy. The food was great, the drink flavourful. Will be back.

Was craving some good dumplings and classic Asian food and this hit the spot!! I got the sesame chicken and my husband tried the kung pao chicken and both were delicious. All of the dumplings were so yummy and our food came out so quick! Our server was really sweet to us. The seating is limited to about 8 tables so probably not the best for large parties. Definitely will be coming back to try their extensive menu.

I visited Charlotte and chose a decent Chinese restaurant. Their dumplings and baos were amazing in both appearance and taste. But the Chinese dishes were bland and not authentic. I’d like to recommend their dumplings and noodles instead of dishes.
