Loved the dining experience and food here! We were on a weekend trip to Sequoia and our host recommended this restaurant. I was almost more excited to try the food than see the National Park haha. It did not disappoint. The portion sizes were perfect, we liked the pacing of the courses, our servers were very friendly and welcoming, and the food itself was tasty and good quality. We especially enjoyed the fig ice cream with the lemon olive oil cake!

We had such a lovely time at School House Restaurant & Tavern! We ordered the ciabatta bread appetizer, the chicken breast and the seasonal pan-seared cod entrees, the limoncello cheesecake, the pear bread pudding, and my husband ordered an old fashioned. Everything was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere and decor are so cool and fun too. Our waiter, Bradley, was very personable as well. It’s a bit on the pricier side but such a fun date night spot!

This place is amazing. Its a great place to have a nice romantic dinner and get some of the best food in town without spending the same amount you would at some of the more upscale restaurants. The service is incredible and the building is absolutely beautiful and has a lot of decoration showing off its history. I have been here twice and I will say my second experience this year did not quite meet my expectations from my first visit but the night of my second visit there was also a very large business party going on so the volume the kitchen was dealing with may have affected the quality of the food a bit.

Lamb was salty. Bread pudding had fruit in it I didn't like but the rest was yummy. Salmon is delicious! Chocolate truffle was ok. Brie cheese bread was great! Service was ok. The building and history is cool. Nice experience. Thank you to the front hostess for the tour, she was so nice! Come check this place out if you've never been:)

What a gem of a place with wonderful food, service and ambiance. Wade our server was excellent with his recommendations. Probably one of the best Meat Loafs we’ve ever had (mixed with braised short ribs) with the wonderful mashed potatoes and gravy. We highly recommend this place.

I had the BBQ pork, my husband had the short ribs and my Sis-in-Law had salmon with risotto, the food was delicious, best in Fresno County. But the service was even better. Austin was friendly and funny. Knew just when to show up. The support he got from co-workers was nice to see and made the experience even better. The building is Awesome and the old time feel is there... beautiful. Thank you to Sarah, it was a pleasure talking with you. I appreciate the tour for our upcoming company party. Your attitude was refreshing. The patio is beautiful and perfect for a party.
