I'm totally happy with Dr Lumapas. Him and his wife are friendly, professional, and thorough. They take their time with their patients. A lot of doctors "listen", but Dr Lumapas "hears" what you're telling him-a rare trait.
The office staff are wonderful as well. They're such nice girls, and very helpful.
My husband and I both appreciate finding a good doctor.

I went to see the Dr concerning a sinus problem that was so bad I had to go to the urgent care center. I needed a referral from Dr Lumapas for an ENT which he refused to give saying I only had allergies. He did not even look at my nose when he made his diagnosis.
I changed doctors got the referral and had major sinus surgery for numerous polyps, turbinate reduction and fungus. So much for allergies...
While he was my PCP the only thing he did was to read my lab results which I had already had a copy and can see what is in and outside of the normal range.

My Mother-in-law recommended Dr. Lumapas. He listens, offers reasonable solutions and will always get back to to when you have a question. The staff are some of the most polite anywhere.

After 2 years of being our family’s doctor, we can say that Dr. Lumapas and Vivian are not only skilled but they have great bedside manner. They are kind and make my entire family feel that we matter to them. We highly recommend them.

I have been seeing this Doctor over 12 years and usually no problems however, recently his office staff quality has taken a nosedive. I now have to wait weeks for prescription refills and when I call office for assistance, im placed on hold and forgotten. It pains me to state this but if you have to judge a doctor by his office staff than I would advise you to seek another MD and avoid the circus. I have complained numerous times and again and again and still my scripts are never correct and/or they simply arent being submitted. The pharmacist that i go to in dunnellon has steted to me on numerous occaisions that they hate filling scripts for this physician because of the confusion and forgetfulness of his office!

After my husband (,who has dementia) and I saw him a couple of times I now wouldn't take my dogs to him for treatment. I had to repeatedly ask for lab reports, which I didn't get, and other test results for my husband and myself. I was trying to find resources for my hubby and I got a flippant answer from him....no help whatsoever!!! Went to Ocala to another doctor and what a difference. He is now getting the doctor's care he needs!
