This is a nice small restaurant with quick counter service and a cozy interior. Lots of nice looking desserts are available, but I came for the pasties. I had a beef pasty with gravy for dinner, and it was both delicious and decently priced. The pasty had a nice flaky crust with good flavor, and the fillings were nice and rich. I’d definitely recommend them for their pasties.

I stopped in to get dinner on my way "up north."
In and out in 5 minutes.
This was my first visit - but I will definitely be back.
Just pop the pasties in the oven for 25 min at 350 degrees and voila - you've got a great dinner.
The beef pasties tasted great.
Make sue to ask for gravy.
A slice of berry pie from Mr. Foisie's topped off a tasty dinner.
I get tired of the same old fast food.
At Foisie's, I got slow food fast.

When I think of pasties this is the type of pasty I imagine. The dough was soft and the filling was flavourful and the gravy made it feel like a home cooked meal. I had the beef filled pasty and my girlfriend had the veggie pasty. Both were delicious, you have the option of getting Cole slaw on the side as well as gravy and sour cream to go with your pasty. They also had a few different pies, some cookies and cinnamon sugar pastries. I see why people come from all over the world to try these. I'm gonna get the food a 5 star in comparison to other pasties I've had in the past. Service was good and fast, the cashier was friendly and welcoming .

We really enjoyed the food here and the outdoor seating. We were in and out super fast. And the kind man behind the counter took the time to ask us if we’d ever had pasties before and gave us some fun facts about their origin. He was really engaging and added to the atmosphere. I had the vegetarian and it was so tasty!

We stopped by on our way home today. First time in Northern Michigan and had heard of the pasty so knew we had to try them. They were delicious, the price and service was also great. I think this will be a regular stop anytime we are up that way again.

Great little shop selling delicious pasties, which is a bit like putting stew in a pie and folding it up. Definitely recommend, even the kids liked it. Had the cherry rhubarb blueberry pie as well and it was tasty. The cookies were a big hit with the kids and got a thousand thumbs up.

Been stopping here on my way to Sleeping Bear/ Traverse City for as long as I can remember with my family and im 35. I’ve done a pasty crawl through the UP but these WERE my fav. Peeps there used to be nice. I felt rushed in and out and like a total inconvenience. They had none ready which when you time your drive to get them for breakfast is disappointing. Had to get burger king… and take cold ones to bake and i hope they are still good. They changed all the signs and i wonder if its new owners. They completely took Mr.Foise out of the sign and name it seems. Usually get some both on the way up and the way back down but will no longer go out of my way to time my stop here. Will update if I ever stop again but really sad if this place lost it….
