This place is adorable. Looks like an awesome spot for a little party or celebration. The service was great. Hailey was warm and welcoming, attentive and helpful. The food was good, perhaps a bit over-priced. Big portions though. Hubby got a venison burger and said it was good, maybe could’ve used more aioli. He loved the fries. I couldn’t finish my chicken sandwich it was so big. The Old Fashioned was strong and yummy. We especially enjoyed the soft pretzel sticks with beer cheese. Staff checked to ensure we had a good experience. Good vibes:)

Great restaurant with some unique dishes. I had the chicken stew and it was delicious ?. Came with a Michigan shaped biscuit. The atmosphere is beautiful ?. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend ?

We had the absolute best experience at MI Table! My husband and I stopped by with our 7 year old grandson. My grandson is a picky eater. Usually, it's chicken tenders or pizza for him. So you have to know he has eaten his share of chicken tenders. I'll just give you some of his quotes about his meal. "These are the best tenders I have ever had", "I would eat these 24/7", "This is the best breading on the chicken", "10 out of 10 stars".

I had the Maple Salmon with Cheese Polenta and Brocollini. My meal was superb!

My husband had the Vodka Pasta with Kielbasa. He said repeatedly during our meal how delicious his meal was.

Our food came out hot and the portions were generous.

Chaz was our server. He was amazing! Very attentive, friendly and he made us feel welcome the moment we walked into the restaurant. He is quite an asset to your establishment.
We plan on making the drive from Howell next weekend.... just to dine at MI table. Hopefully, we will be able to have Chaz again as our server.

I got a takeout order of the venison biscuits and gravy and what I received was about a 1/2 cup of gravy that served as more of a snack than a meal. This is my favorite item from Mi Table and I’m disappointed that there is such a huge discrepancy between what I would receive for dine in vs take out. The food is delicious but I would expect the same portions for take out and dine in, considering it’s the same price.

Unique place in Bay City, complete with a bank vault. We dined in the vault, which was a blessing because it served as a containment system for the two rug rats we had. Otherwise they would have been harder to corral in the main dining area. This was our second time here. Six months ago I thought it had the best burger in the tri cities. Now, not so much. I got the same burger, but it was barely warm when I got it. Although we ordered soup, they ran out, so most of our party didn’t get any. The one bowl we got was cold for some reason.
So overall impression is that the food is not as good as it was six months ago, the vault is cool, and I hope they can bring this back to what it was.

A Disappointing Holiday Dinner Experience

When planning a special holiday dinner for our team members and their guests, we chose MI Table, hoping to celebrate a year of hard work with an exceptional dining experience. Unfortunately, what we encountered was far from our expectations.

As the Director of Operations, I initially found it difficult to set up a meeting with the manager. For three consecutive days, I was told that only the manager could handle my request, but she never returned my calls. When I finally did get a response, it was clear that management was absent from the restaurant from open until 4 PM daily, leaving the establishment without any leadership during those hours.

After securing a $150 deposit for our Thursday night event, we visited the restaurant with the company’s ownership to meet with the manager and review the event space. The manager failed to show up for the appointment, leaving a single overwhelmed staff member to juggle multiple roles. Despite this, we rescheduled, only to find the event space dirty and unprepared on our next visit. The head chef, who was supposed to reassure us, displayed unprofessional behavior, cursing casually during our discussion.

We were initially quoted $15-$20 per person but received an invoice charging nearly $50 per person. Despite our objections and a revised quote, the final amount was still significantly higher than anticipated. Hoping for outstanding service, we reluctantly accepted, but the experience continued to deteriorate.

On the night of our event, we were the only guests in the restaurant, yet the service was abysmal. The event space was uncomfortably hot, and the three waitstaff members, who should have been attending to us, were mostly absent. Basic items like napkins, salt, pepper, and butter were missing, and I had to repeatedly go downstairs to request these essentials as the staff avoided us. The overall feeling was that they were waiting for us to leave.

The food, which was not prepared as requested, was either overcooked or tasted old. Despite multiple attempts to resolve these issues with ownership and management, we received no response. This lack of accountability and professionalism is deeply disappointing, especially for a restaurant with so much potential.

In conclusion, MI Table’s beautiful setting is marred by poor ownership, management and unprofessional staff. I would strongly advise against hosting any events or dining there based on our experience. The restaurant's inability to meet basic service standards and their disregard for customer satisfaction is unacceptable.

For anyone considering MI Table for a special occasion or a casual meal, proceed with caution. This was, regrettably, the worst dining experience I’ve had.
