I had the taco al pastor, one of the local favorites. I needed to drain all this oil off the beans, bacon, burger chunks and it became a tasty chili. The tacos were really oily, whatever they're smothing everything in.. it's impossible to stay clean. There was a chunk of bone in my taco almost cracked a tooth. I've seen many times when you're not greeted until you check out. Or the staff will ask you what table were you sitting at because nobody knows, lots of guess who. With their prices going up meals will be around $12-17, and nothing comes with chips and salsa. With Blue Agave getting ready to launch their second location and then soon thereafter a third location this place could be in some serious trouble, as they do complementary chips and salsa with their meals.

Stopped at Mi Ranchito for lunch with my wife. She had the enchilada plate with cheese enchiladas with red sauce. I had a deshabrada burrito and a guisado burrito; all of it was very good. Chips and salsa were good too.
Service was good, friendly, and our food arrived relatively quickly.

They by far have the best burritos,both breakfast and lunch, hands down. I haven't tried their plates/entrees yet but they make the best burritos. Well worth what you pay for them. They're huge and the quality(taste) is excellent

I had been recommended them for a decent breakfast burrito and they didn't disappoint.

I had a bacon, egg, potato, and cheese breakfast burrito with medium salsa. It was delicious. If I'm ever on that side of town for breakfast again, I know where I'm going.

What a find this place was. I’m Usually skeptical of strip mall restaurants particularly when there seems to be endless choices in Mexican food in Texas. But passing through Abilene, not knowing anyone for recommendations and limited in time, this place was convenient. Boy oh boy. God was looking out for me and my boys. Food ingredients were fresh, good portions and tastes tremendous. A must stop if close by. Walk in without big expectations and be amazingly surprised. It can be a very busy place with locals but be patient with the good people serving.

Somehow I missed that Mi Ranchito on Buffalo Gap is the current incarnation of the one that used to be in the little red building at Ambler & W. Lake Rd. I feel silly now because I've been missing out! This location is fantastic. The food is still delicious - as it always was. The inside is decorated to feel like you're eating in someone's comfy courtyard. They also have a drive-thru if you just want to grab a burrito or a smoothie.

Stopped in for breakfast here and man it was good! The omelet was on point, fresh, the waiter did an excellent job of being on top of things, restaurant was clean, plenty of parking and priced reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast in Abilene.
