What I love about Maketto is the vintage vinyl, magazine and vhs collection on the second level.

In terms of food, the appetizers were amazing. I love dumplings and they had a variety of shrimp and beef dumplings which were delicious. We ordered oysters and other items as well. I had huge expectations for the large plates but they weren’t out of this world like the small and medium plates were. The fried chicken and shrimp fried rice were good but not wow, although portions were perfect for a party of 4.

Overall, would I come back? Yes.

First experience at Maketto and it was good! My biggest takeaway is that I need to go back and really dig into the menu. I stopped by for a quick dinner before heading to an event so I didn't give the due diligence that it deserved. But the items I did have left me intrigued and delighted. I had a few dumplings that were wonderful. My friend loved the oysters and the chicken pho. I WILL BE BACK. I loved the chill and relaxed environment, the low lights and the creative space. I will definitely be back to further explore and take advantage of the menu.

This place is one of Phil's top 10 must-tries. Didn't disappoint. The fried chicken is sooo good. Drunken Shrimp rice too. We also had the fried mochi beignets for dessert. Another out of the "tastebud" park experience.

Food was all delicious and inventive! Crispy chicken wings and spicy cauliflower were my favourite. I’m not quite sure the small/medium/big plates translate all that accurately though, so do be wary of overordering. The service also could have been a bit faster at times but for a relaxed Friday night dinner it’s not a huge problem. Friendly service and fun atmosphere makes up for it.

Nice little experience
Must say the veggie spring rolls were very tasty,
I had the spicy beef bowl was delicious
I wish it was actually steak instead of ground beef but overall it was tasty
My son loved the chicken sandwhich
It was huge !!!!!
The spicy cucumber could have been spicier ….
Definitely enjoyed this restaurant, could have had a much bigger selection but I get it ….
The price range was very reasonable
Inc glad they weren’t charging 7-8 bucks for a coke

MAKETTO provides a great blend of Cambodian and Taiwanese dishes within a modern atmosphere. It’s perfect for date night or cocktails with friends. I recommend booking a reservation in advance!!

The food is good but we won’t order take out from here again. They used so many of the black plastic takeout containers that have been found to contain flame retardant chemicals. We have ordered take out from Maketto in the past and thought they used better takeout packaging like the cardboard boxes. If they change up this packaging, we will order from there again.
