I came here for a friend's birthday and really enjoyed the service. I believe my server's name was Dion. She was hilarious and made the experience so much fun. The restaurant itself was really pretty, but the set up was a bit funky. The flow of traffic seemed off as it was difficult to move past other tables to get to the bathrooms.

I really enjoyed my food. However, I do not think it was worth the price point. I understand small servings, but the creativity behind the dishes did not grab me. I also felt the menu lacked some diversity. I felt almost stuck ordering things I did not necessarily want because I had no other options. Don't get me wrong. I did enjoy what I ate, but I would not be rushing to go back.

This place was AMAZING! I went for my 40th birthday and they accommodated for a group of 10 at one table. It was so entertaining and had such a GREAT vibe. Our server Serena was the sweetest and she knew what she was doing! The FOOD?!!! Some of the best we’ve ever had! All the streaks meeeeelted in your mouth. Lobster FANTASTIC. The mushroom salad was amazing. Some of the best burgers EVER! When I tell you that EVERYTHING was phenomenal, I’m not even lying. Definitely recommend!! Hands down!!

This is my third returning to Maison Kasai and decided to keep it simple and relax by the bar. A perfect spot to unwind as I enjoyed a new selection of craft cocktails that impressed me with their unique flavors. The food was just from the Starters and the scallops were exquisite. Will be coming back again for another relaxing evening.

Most dishes were superb. Service was excellent, and the atmosphere was fun. My husband thought it was the best teppanyaki he's ever had. I ordered the cauliflower steak, which was not my favorite as it tastes as if previously frozen. When I mentioned this to the waiter, he quickly offered to replace the dish. I switched to the sea bass, which was excellent.

That was one of the best experience I’ve had, the food was so good, I don’t usually eat steak, but I had the best steak ever! The drinks were so good, people were so nice! It’s a little bit pricey dinner, so be ready for that, besides that everything definitely worth it to try, I would definitely go back again

I loved this place! The ambience is sooo fly feels like you're in a movie! The service was great and we loved all of our food. I was a little bummed that they were out of both the lobster and the pasta but I'll definitely be back to try them next time! Also the halibut was nice but I'm m used to eating sea bass at classy places such as this. But overall GREAT PLACE!

Best restaurant ever!! Food was delicious and staff couldn’t have been more hospitable and welcoming. Over the top great service. The dumplings are a must try. My steak was cooked to perfection and the cocktails were incredible. We had an absolute blast!

This was maybe the worst food experience I’ve had in LA and one of the worst I’ve ever had and I’ve dined all over the world and lived in bigger foodie cities. We knew we were signing up for a premium but the upcharge here is insane and incredibly misleading.

1) What is presented as a pumpkin miso soup was no more than a shot glass of soup — this is super misleading.
2) All the food took forever and portions were very small for what it was considering the average cost per person plus tax and tip is probably close to $150-200 per person.
3) All of the temperatures of the food was completely off and it took forever to actually get our food. We had two New York strip wagyu, one lobster and one filet mignon. We had them retry one wagyu that was supposed to be medium rare but completely cooked through and was gray. The filet was raw. Twice. The second time they tried, they charred the outside completely and then the inside was completely raw and cold. That was ordered as medium — it was raw. The other NY strip was also supposed to be medium rare and one side came out medium well to well done as well but couldn’t have them remake all three steaks. Also they didn’t put enough broccolini which took 20 min to cook the first batch so they ran back to get more and cooked in 5 min — you can guess that this was raw. The lobster was also completely overcooked with zero flavor. Didn’t ask them recook that either because at this point we were starving. The second attempt for the filet was non-edible and the second wagyu attempt came out rare. Completely missing the mark.
4) When the scallops were put on the grill, there were only 3 per order when the menu clearly indicated 4. When we asked the chef, he doubled down and said there are only 3. It clearly stated 4 on the menu — either change the menu or make sure your staff is trained to know it’s 4. We asked multiple people and the other person was like 2 or 3. This is insane that an additional $28 would get you 2 to 3 scallops after the insane price of the experience already.
5) Our water was never refilled a single time. I had to ask two times and couldn’t flag a single waiter down.
6) We never even got our dessert because the execution on the steaks were so bad the second time around. This whole experience was 2.5 hours and we had someone in our party who didn’t eat basically and the others only ate what we could because the execution was so poor and took so long we couldn’t wait.

As someone who has dined a lot all ofer the world, I could never tell anyone to go here. What an insane expedience — even with the 30% discount they ended up providing for the bad experience, I couldn’t believe we still paid $400 (pre tip so more after tip) for this experience. If this restaurant was in NYC, it would be out of business in a matter of a month because no one would return and you could never get away with charging these prices. Do not ever come here. Don’t be fooled by the “experience.”
