Los Compadres Taquilla Barrel, we went here after we got off the water. There was a short wait for a table, but it was worth it. The organic margarita was excellent. The service was very good. The food was delicious. I had the mixed fajitas, which were delightful. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The experience was good. I recommend

Initially thought it was part of a chain restaurant and tried this location. It was good. The fajita had steak, shrimp and chicken but was overcooked. The beans were not refried but pinto beans. My husband had the carne asada which he loved. The rice was cooked perfectly. The drinks were great and suggest the top shelf margarita. The Mt Juliet location is better. I did love the atmosphere and music.

Not bad. Let's get the negative out of the way first. The restaurant was very busy, which is great for them but not so great for us, Our server was doing her best. Unfortunately, she had the bad habit that some waiters develop, of looking at the table they are serving, then immediately looking at the floor as soon as they step away and head for the kitchen. It took 10+ minutes to finally get her attention at one point. The chips were too think and had absolutely zero salt. They were like cardboard.

OK, that's it for negative. The positives: The salsa is fantastic! Nice and spicy, good cilantro, chunks of onion. Delicious. Likewise, we both got fajitas and they were awesome! The beer was cold, not quite cold enough for my taste but cold enough to be good.

Overall, I'd say it was a good meal, cold beer, with good company and a nice waitress who was running at top speed. We will certainly be back.

Los Compadres was a great pick for lunch. The food was delicious and fast. The chips and salsa were good and fresh. We devoured our food, so I guess we were really hungry. I had a quesadilla with beans and rice off the lunch menu. Just the right portion for lunch.. Give this place a try. The atmosphere is also charming.

Wow, not what I was expecting. My brother and I are visiting and a friend suggested this place. He had a Molcajetes; it was loaded with steak, shrimp, cactus, peppers, and more. I had the Camarónes a la Hawaiana; jumbo shrimp with pineapples, ham & cheese. Very tasty
The atmosphere is great and the staff was so nice. And the food, wow, loved it.

I arrived for lunch just past 11, and it was not busy. Beware when I left after noon, very very busy! The salsa was delicious, possibly the best tasted! I went à la carte with spinach quesadilla which was quite tasty. The Chiles Toreados were ok, I just like mine a little bit more saute. The waitress was hands on with customer service!! On my way out, other worker bees were friendly, which I love experiencing!

They used to be great, and have fallen off. We have been driving further to get to El Molino which is way better and less also less expensive. Tonight we decided to give them another shot on to go orders, and all the meals were tiny portions. Pathetic for a Mexican Restaurant. Not worth the time let alone the money.
