Ordered the large oxtail meal. Oxtails were tasty but only received 4 very small pieces of oxtail. Definitely not worth the $26 price. Very disappointed as this was my 2nd time here and the first time I ordered a small oxtail for $18 and got more oxtails than the large oxtail meal I ordered today for $26. It would also be nice to have gravy on the rice and peas.

Great customer service and GREAT food. My dads Jamaican and this is the first Jamaican spot in California that tastes 100% authentic. Great prices as well. You really can’t go wrong coming here I promise.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Island Spice Kitchen, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. The jerk chicken was absolutely delicious—packed with smoky, spicy, and flavorful seasoning that was perfectly balanced. The tender meat had the ideal char on the outside while remaining juicy on the inside.

The rice and peas were equally amazing, with the coconut flavor giving it a rich, comforting taste that paired perfectly with the chicken. The plantains were sweet, soft, and caramelized to perfection, offering a great contrast to the savory flavors of the dish.

As a pleasant surprise, the macaroni was creamy and indulgent, bringing a comforting touch to the meal. And let’s not forget the Jamaican festival—it was the perfect finishing touch! Warm, slightly sweet, and crispy on the outside, it added that authentic island vibe to the whole meal.

I'm from IA, so the ordering process at this multi-Restaurant take out site caught me off guard, BUT once I got my Ox-Tail Stew from Claudia, it was tantalizingly tasty! A most delicious mix of spices and flavor! I absolutely LOVED it! It's lick your fingers--suck the bones dry level GOOD! My only regret is that I didn't ask her to smother my Amazing Rice and Peas with more Oxtail Stew gravy! ...and that Baked Mac & Cheese! Excellent Double Wow Tasty! Portion sizes are quite good too! I will definitely be Back for More!

Ordered the Large Oxtail Meal and only received three oxtails with a side of noodle salad and bed of rice and peas. It wasn’t worth the $26. The oxtails were good and the rice and peas were decent but not worth $26.
I put my order in for pick-up at 3:15p and by 3:45p my order still wasn’t ready.

I am so excited there is finally a Jamaican place in OC!! My family and I have been waiting for this day to finally come. The curry goat was 10/10, beef patty, everything!! We will definitely be ordering from here again!

I desperately implore you to try the oxtail with beans and rice! The tenderness of the oxtail was on point. I also ordered the beef patty with cheese. The portion size was perfect for my husband and I to share. Trust me it's worth every dime. It's also a great feeling buying from local small businesses. The family is super sweet as well.
