We visited the new location of Hot Joy last night, and it was a great experience! The space is lively, with decor that captures the character, atmosphere, and energy of the original location. Gabriel was our server, and he did an outstanding job taking care of us.

While we waited for our Crispy Skin Pork Belly (which Gabriel explained takes some time to prepare), he surprised us with Hong Kong Cornbread as a gesture for the longer than anticipated delay. It was such a thoughtful and unexpected touch, especially on a busy night.

We also tried the Spam Fried Rice and the shareable bowl of Swimming in Circles Vol. 2. Everything was delicious! We couldn’t have asked for a better evening. Highly recommend!

Came to the new Hot Joy location last night and had such a great experience! Loved the overall vibe and was even more impressed with the food. Our server Alan was extremely hospitable and gave great recommendations to try. We had the Hong Kong cornbread, Sticky ribs and Spam fried rice. Did not want my meal to be over. Cocktails were delicious too! Also was so thankful for Alan because I accidentally left my CC and he was kind enough to turn it in with the GM Russell who was also great. I’m going to be recommending to all my friends and coworkers to get to Hot Joy ASAP. Can’t wait to go back!

Had the opportunity to check out the new Hot Joy, and I was blown away.
The atmosphere was refreshing compared to the old location and the food was phenomenal.
We tried the Tofu steam buns, Thai sticky ribs, Twice fried wings, and the Sizzling Bulgogi platter.

Hot Joy continues to impress! This was our second visit, and this time we brought the kids along. We kicked off with the egg rolls and tofu buns—so good, we couldn’t even wait to snap a photo before devouring them. The Pork Green Beans were a standout, perfectly tender with a satisfying crispness. For the main courses, we enjoyed the pineapple chicken, hot chicken, and spam fries rice. Each dish was bursting with flavor. We’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing meal!

Incredible dining experience all around. This was our first time at the new location and we were so excited since the last one was great, but this one managed to surpass expectations tenfold! This is a beautiful dining space in a wonderful location. Service from Gabe was excellent, the drinks were refreshing and inventive, and all the dishes we shared were so flavorful and unique. Russell, the manager was very welcoming and made sure that everything was up to standard.
All in all it was a wonderful dining experience and we are so happy to recommend it to all looking to enjoy unique Asian cuisine in San Antonio!

Came for dinner and was surprised with the flavor of the broth the ramen was amazing definitely will be coming back to try their Monday special ramen. The restaurant scenery is very appealing and the booths create a unique experience while enjoying your food. Waiter was very informative and helpful for our first time trying this restaurant out.

First visit since they left Southtown. They knocked it out of the park with the venue, simply beautiful! Same funky music, wonderful environment. Only the twice fried wings and the spam fried rice made it on to the new menu. Great cocktails, great service, perfect evening. If you haven't come thru yet, you must.
