Visited Hanaya Hibachi Sushi & Asian Fusion in Flower Mound with friends, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Hanaya truly offers the best Japanese food in town! The cozy, contemporary setting made for a perfect evening, and the performing chefs at the hibachi grill added an extra layer of excitement to our dining experience. Watching them expertly prepare and cook our meal right before our eyes was both entertaining and impressive.

The food was phenomenal—the sushi was fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The ramen was rich and satisfying, with a perfect blend of textures and taste. Every bite demonstrated the high quality and attention to detail in their dishes.

What truly set our visit apart was the outstanding hospitality from our waitress. She was attentive, friendly, and went out of her way to ensure that we had everything we needed, providing excellent recommendations and keeping our drinks refilled. Speaking of drinks, the fully stocked bar offered a diverse selection of cocktails and beverages that perfectly complemented our meal.

We had hibachi reservation for four at 7 PM and there was a still a 30 to 40 minute wait. The reason there was a wait was because they had an over abundance of people dining. New Year’s Eve.
To accommodate the overcrowding, they overcrowded the hibachi tables adding 3 to 4 extra chairs, making it very awkward and uncomfortable.
Not that I care, but they ran out of glasses and began serving our drinks in Styrofoam cups. The four of us all felt that the staff really didn’t seem to care and were used to the complaining.
Not the worst dining experience I’ve ever had but pretty close.

I just tried the sushi. It was of decent quality. I was just surprised that roe was put on my salmon skin roll. I've never seen that before. Overall, my experience was good. Nothing wrong. Just nothing standing out in a sushi experience for me. My waitress was nice, though. Maybe I just need to try different rolls if I visit again. On an unrelated note, the couple near me had Miso Soup that slid right off the table and onto the man's lap, so I'm very glad that didn't happen to me! I'm sure that was a fluke accident, though.

The service here is just the beginning of how amazing this dinner was for us. From the moment we walked in we knew it was going to be one of the best hibachi experiences we've ever had. Our server Teresa was very responsive and lively! Our hibachi chef did some tricks that I, in my many trips to hibachi, have never seen. He started the fire on the onion stack with his hand!!

The food is seriously on another level. The house soup was one of the best I had ever had. I also ordered a California roll (since I'm pregnant) and it was one of the best I'd ever had in my life. My husband ordered the steak and lobster and it was the first time we had ever been served melted butter to dip the lobster into! I ordered the shrimp and scallop and I was in heaven the entire meal.

At the end, they packed our to go boxes for us and even sent me off with a can of Dr pepper. Needless to say, we live nowhere near Hanaya and we will DEFINITELY be back!

Food was fair. You can’t go wrong with Habachi.
Yet it lacked flavor. The service was not the best. They took for ever to start Habachi yet waiter completely forgot to bring out soup and salad until we had Habachi on plate. We asked if meal came with soup and salad which he answered oh yes I forgot to bring(20) min even before Habachi got started we just sat there waiting .We came at a time restaurant was not crazy busy. It seemed they only had one waiter and maybe that was the issue.
Their cook was taking a nap two tables down from us on.

Where do I start. Water was never served until after we finished our appetizer. Katsu lunch special took almost an hour so I had to do take out instead and got me late for work meeting. Then they only gave me ketchup for Katsu. Also tiny portion - it wasn’t good so I just threw it away. Missing rice. Never going back.
