Wow! What a treat it was to find this place. I loved the setting and the food was absolutely fantastic. Everything was so fresh and tasty. The manager, waitress, and Sushi Chefs were all top-notch! I thought the $25 parking was high, but then I was told that they validate, so that was a pleasant surprise.

I have enjoyed great sushi in my years of global travel, including many visits to Japan, and this was right up there with the best. I highly recommend this restaurant and am looking forward to coming back to do this all over again.

Possibly the best sushi I have ever had. But, had to go find waiter after ten minutes. Very noisy place but nicely designed.

It's like in the movies; private and calm. The food was delicious, and the service was very attentive. We loved all of the recondations and the sake 🙂

Beautiful interior and delicious fresh fish. At first we were hesitant that it was located in a hotel but they validate parking at the host station. And though menu was a bit limited all their fish and dishes were excellent. Kids menu were American food like tenders and hot dog. Easy to get rsvp same day (Sunday). Service was phenomenal. A bit on the pricier end but you get what you pay for. Definitely saving this as our go to while in Anaheim. Plus: there’s a small arcade next door!

The location of Hanagi is in the Magic Castle Hotel, and the decorations are spot on for the Disney Castle feel. It is a bit interesting walking from the hotel side into the restaurant but not a bad experience. The food was delicious. At first, the Yelp page said they had shabu shabu, but when my party asked, they said they didn't serve it at the time. I ordered the Chef Chirashi Sushi Bowl and the Hanagi Special Roll, which was incredibly delicious. The price is a bit on the more expensive side, but they validate parking. Overall, I had a good experience with the food, even with it missing the shabu. I would like to come back here again and try their other menu items.

Hanagi Restaurant a hidden gem! the best Japanese restaurant I have ever been!
FOOD: five star! fresh, delicious, flavorful, made to perfection with absolute satisfaction, savoring all flavors in each every bite. No exaggeration!
LOCATION: it’s absolute package of experience! located inside at the heart of Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel, where in the amazing experience does not stop at Hanagi Restaurant, you can explore the hotel amenities; game room (love the pool table), bar, bistro, koi pond, deli and gift shop, picturistic views of gardens. Just amazing! Plus the fireworks from Disney you get to watch it by the parking lot! Best view even better than downtown Disney. Whew! Definitely coming back and will share this amazing experience with family and friends!

I've passed by this place whenever I stay at Anaheim Majestic Garden. I've always wanted to try it, but for a while, they didn't do take out orders.

The inside is nice and very clean and simple. Like in a minimalistic way, if that makes sense. When I had gone, they were packed. People who worked there would still turn and greet you as you walk in.

As busy as they were, they apologized for making you wait. The staff was super nice and thorough.
They double-checked my order when I placed it, and they triple checked it when packing it up and made sure I had all the sauces and silverware that I would need.

I had ordered:

1. California roll - fresh and tasty

2. Double shrimp tempura roll - The shrimp tempura was tasty and the crunchy cucumber was a good balance with the eel sauce. It wasn't overly drenched in sauce but just the right amount that all the components complimented each other and you didn't get sick of the taste.

3. Shrimp tempura with vegetables- Pretty much what you works expect at any Japanese restaurant. It wasn't soggy or drenched in oil. It was crispy, and they had different vegetables than I'm used to, such as bell pepper, asparagus, or a leaf.

4.. Chicken karaage - Crunchy and flavorful. You really didn't need the dipping sauce they provided, but I like to dip it and dip the excess sauce on my rice.

5. Hibachi beef- Cooked perfectly medium and was tender and oh so juicy.

Overall, everything we had was amazing amd exceeded our expectations. I definitely, can't wait to come back here soon.

A true Japanese experience where the simple taste of the fish and rice were aloud to shine. A must try, a different experience from western sushi.
