Beautiful Persian restaurant that has the well know dishes alongside some more traditional dishes. The place looks very elegant and has a party room upstairs for private events. For those who like the open air there is a patio on the side of the restaurant.
The food is delicious and well seasoned. Portions are adequate, but those with a heftier appetite might want to order another dish and bring the leftovers home. One dish that is a must try is the borani.
Service was impeccable from start to finish.

Darya Restaurant in the South Coast Plaza area offers an incredible Persian dining experience.

The menu is extensive, featuring all the Persian classics—delicious kebabs & flavorful stews with saffron rice, and the side dishes like mast-o-mosir, kashkbademjon, mast o khiar and variety of salads.

The service is impeccable, with the staff attentive to every detail, making sure you have everything you need without being overbearing.

Memorable dining experience. Highly recommended!

Beautiful venue with excellent service. Unfortunately the food let's the place down. The food looked great and authentic but, It was very under seasoned and salted. For the price you're paying, you'd be better off trying another local Persian/Mediterranean restaurant.

Very fancy looking when your first walk in! And there’s a step and repeat in the front of the restaurant. Really feels like you’re somewhere fancy haha. There was some live music playing. It was gentle and not super noticeable. Just a guy with his guitar?! The waitress was super sweet. The food was great. Tried the borani appetizer which was eggplant ? but it didn’t even taste like it, which was great. I don’t like eggplant haha. The main plates are pretty big. I shared the naderi with a friend and it was more than enough for the both of us. Taste was great. I do wish there was a tiny bit more rice ? and tomato ? but the flavor is great regardless. A little pricy if you’re not splitting the food though. But I enjoyed the experience overall!

I recently dined at this remarkable Persian restaurant in California, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance. Sohaila was our waitress she was so nice and helpful.

The menu showcased a wide range of authentic Persian dishes, which were an absolute delight to the palate. Each dish was prepared with meticulous attention to detail, resulting in a burst of flavors that transported me straight to Iran.

It’s an okay restaurant but the kebabs are nothing like you find in the Middle East. I have yet to find somewhere in California that is truly authentic.

They do not have a tanoor so the bread is not warm and crispy. Tasted packaged and I think it they improve it it would be better.
