I am on a hunt to find good croissants in the area. I had high hopes for Choc O Pain based on the reviews and was very disappointed. I paid $6 for the chocolate almond croissant, and it was the stalest pastry I’ve ever purchased! You get a good amount of filling, but the croissant itself was NOT good. The cashier was very sweet, and told me that the bakery values preventing food waste so they re-purpose day old croissants for these. I am totally on board with that mission, but if you are using day old croissants - sell them at a discount, and do not charge a premium price! Terrible value for what you get.

I was looking for a GF cake in the neighborhood for my friend’s birthday and discovered this bakery. We ordered chocolate flourless cake and it was just incredible. It was dense, rich, moist and chocolaty. Perfect warm with ice-cream or a glass of full bodied red. I will be definitely offering it again!
