Fun place with lively music. Small but thoughtful menu. The antojitos (snacks) were standouts as well as the cocktail menu. Friends loved the birria tacos. Everything was beautifully plated. Would definitely go back if we are in the area.

Get ready to fall in love with this place and daydream about their food, beverages and the overall experience! Your eyes will eat and drink first because everything is so beautiful! This place is now a top 3 spot for me and I am in love with everything about it! We went about a month ago and I have been dying to go back. Their birria tacos are our favorite - they melt in your mouth and the meat is so tender and juicy. I love how light and fresh the Black Ink (shrimp ceviche in mole sauce) is and dipping the birria in the extra mole is divine! Second time in and we tried the Green Chorizo Vampiro (there's bone marrow involved here) and OMG! My new favorite beverage was discovered here too (Sangre de Maize) - a Mezcal Negroni and it requires a specific pallet but I can't stop drinking them! Now...the staff is also incredible. I'm a bar girlie and if you are too, ask for Kyle and be prepared to be blown away. He is so personable and fun to talk to and really creates an overall experience for you that most bartenders just can't/don't care to provide. We not only went back for the food and drinks, but to see Kyle again (purposely made reservations for the bar) and I promise you that you won't be disappointed if you do the same! We did meet Marlee last night too and if you want to sit at a table, ask for her! She is so wonderful! The manager (did not get her name) was so sweet too. If you want to feel like you're part of the fam and have an incredible meal, a great time, awesome convo...Chilte is your spot! It's the perfect date spot too!

Delicious Mexican spot within a funky motel! The service is so friendly and helpful, the tortillas with hearty texture and flavor and the cheese so stringy! But more than that it’s a place with great food and a very unique and flavorful food and drink menu! Would love to go back and try it all!

Food was delicious, drinks were fun and well made! You pretty much can't get food like this anywhere else in Phoenix! Highly recommend anything with their moles.

I still gave five stars because I do think it is a great place, but honestly the atmosphere was difficult for me to justify the price. It is very loud in the restaurant making it hard to hold a conversation, it was also FREEZING cold but the AC kept turning on. Overall I felt like I was eating in a fast casual restaurant but paying fancy restaurant prices.

I don't mind paying top dollar for good food, but I do wish the atmosphere could match the price a bit more instead of feeling like I'm in a cafeteria or something.

Unique restaurant located at Egyptian hotel. I like the decoration. However, dinning time that they give per group is 90 mins. Foods came out quite slow. We wanted to order dessert, but they asked us to takeaway instead because of time limit.

Foods were interesting especially the tortilla as it’s mixed with squid ink. However, I am not impressed with any dish.

Cocktails were not well balanced. Some of them were too smoky till bitter, and some were too sour.

We loved our experience at Chilte! The service was great from start to finish - from the hostess to all of the wait staff. Alexis knew the menu inside and out and was attentive without being overbearing. The food was incredible. We shared the yuca frites, the lamb neck flautas with mole, the birria tacos and the asada plate from the fall menu, and each dish was outstanding in its own way. The yuca frites were crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside and served with the right amount of delicious sauce for dipping. The flautas and mole were a stand out - the lamb was so tender and juicy, and the mole was rich, smoky, sweet and spicy. How do they do that? The birria tacos were amazing with the incredibly soft and chewy squid ink corn tortillas, and the wet aged beef ribeye for the asada plate was melt-in-your-mouth tender. We loved it all and can’t wait to return and try the rest of the menu.

First time - I plan on trying every menu item. Prepare to embark on a captivating culinary journey unlike any other at the unique and modern Chilte. From the moment we entered, we were immediately captivated by the inviting ambiance.

The head chef had recognized my friend’s repeated reservations and came over to talk after we were done. Lawrence is an amazing guy! Was runner up on Chopped!!

The innovative and thoughtfully crafted menu showcased a harmonious blend of unfamiliar ingredients, resulting in a symphony of flavors that left us in awe.

The ultimate hidden gem (for now) of the Valley of the Sun.
