Even iets leuks! Dit is echt een Hidden Gem midden in het centrum van Haarlem om authentiek te eten: Indonesisch, Afghaans en Filipijns etc.
Ontzettende lieve mensen.
Heerlijke smaken.
Het aubergine-gerecht was echt zo lekker? Helaas een foto van lege borden, maar dat zegt wel genoeg, toch?
Drie tafels binnen en een bankje buiten.
Je kunt ook nog heerlijke producten mee naar huis meenemen uit hun winkeltje.
Ik kom hier zeker terug!

As a New Yorker I’m always searching for new food experiences and I came across this cute family owned Asian fusion restaurant. The combo meal was delicious and served in the most appetizing way. I loved the rice noodles and eggplant. They switch dishes throughout the week. The owners are super friendly and the atmosphere reminded me of home. I’d definitely be back 🙂

Chibog = je nieuwe favo toko. Gevraagd om top 3 broodjes. Ca. 6 eu per broodje. Zo zo lekker. Van Koreaanse kip tot Iraans gehakt met kaneel of Adobo pork. Gerund door Iraanse man en Filipijnse vrouw die heel lekker kunnen koken. Aanwezig 2 zithoekjes, kleine koelcel, bubble milk tea hoek (ruim keus), stellingkast met eten en wat eet- en kook spulletjes.

? During a short detour to Zandvoort from Amsterdam, I craved Filipino cuisine and found the perfect spot at Chibog. This cozy eatery, owned by a warm and welcoming Filipina and Iranian couple, offers delicious food presented in a charming karenderia style. I particularly enjoyed the addition of a flavorful Iranian dish to the menu.

Chibog is also a one-stop mini-mart for anyone missing Filipino delicacies. The highlight of my summer visit was definitely the halo-halo perfect to be enjoyed with good conversations – a must-try!

Wat hebben wij een pareltje in Haarlem gevonden! Super super lekker eten en een top service, wat een lief stel! Alles werd uitgelegd wat het was en konden wij een heerlijke mix van alles proberen. Dit wordt ons nieuwe favoriete plek! Super bedankt!

Amazing food by the nicest people! You can choose different dishes to try from and they were all really well seasoned and textured. It’s not just filipino dishes, but they had iranian and korean dishes too. We’re from New York and honestly was better than the filipino food there. Very good value, a must visit in Haarlem!

We came across Chibog by accident but boy, were we ever glad we did. If you want to eat your way across East Asia, trying different foods from Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, China and Korea, this is the place for you. Chef Eva cooks the food to perfection with just the right balance of spice. There's even a nod to her husband's Ramin country of origin Iran with some dishes. The presentation is lovely and everything made and done with love.
We had rijsttafel which is a selection of all available dishes. That's only available to eat in but Chibog does a roaring take out trade as well.
Be sure to stop by - you won't be disappointed.

Eva en Ramin: echt een prachtig stel met een enorm creatieve en culinaire keuken. Wat maken ze lekker eten - de Korean Fried Chicken is precies wat 'ie moet zijn. De aubergines... Mijn hemel zo lekker. Altijd gastvrij, staan voor hun gasten klaar en koken de sterren van de hemel! Ze vragen nog te weinig geld voor hun kwaliteit. Aanrader!
