I love my wife dearly; however, she can make decisions based on billboards that are bad for both of us! I will grant you that out in the middle of Oklahoma on I 40 there aren’t a lot of places to eat. In this case we should’ve driven the 37 miles required to get to the subway that was a little further west,

I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. She had a chef salad. The grilled chicken sandwich was next to inedible the onion rings that came with it couldn’t have been in the fryer very long because the onions were still raw and the breading was barely brown. My wife’s salad was indescribable.

We looked at the reviews before we stopped so we were not prepared for what we found. The people who gave it five stars might, have had too many adult beverages. We chatted with a couple of people on the way out and their experiences were similar to ours. If you’re hungry, the food is edible and it does get a grudging three stars but that is in large part due to our server, she did try hard.

Brook did a great job as a server. Refilled our drinks and replaced my husband's burger as the bun was over-cooked. Loved the fries and onion rings. The Indian Taco salad was tasty.

Came in 30 minutes before close, was welcomed in. Had the best grilled pork chop I've ever had. Lady's working told me to take my time. Came back for breakfast and has the best biscuits and HOT gravy I've ever had along with a dinner plate size ham steak which was awesome. Definitely coming back.

When my son said he was going to OK, I said, "Would you take me to the Cherokee Trading Place and Restaurant?" He said ok. I was so grateful, I love their food, it reminds me of home cooked food. When we got home, we got a bill for tolls, so we probably never make it down there again, and it's a shame. There were no signs saying tolls ahead, so I have no idea where we ended up getting them from. We even had NO tolls checked on Google maps, Google must be working with OK and KS to get people on those toll roads. The restaurant was clean and they had a T-shirt available for purchase. I asked if they had a size 3x, but they said the manager wasn't there, so I couldn't get one. Disappointed.

We stopped here on our Route 66 vacation while heading west from OKC. I was a little worried after reading some recent reviews, but there aren’t other good options.

The staff was friendly and nice and the food was good. I had an omelet, and the hash browns were done perfectly (for me) and the omelet was tasty. I almost ordered the Indian Taco — and when I saw someone else who had ordered it I was surprised how big it was! It looks great but is huge.

I don't get the salad bar because it is a one trip salad bar and is very basic. Nothing special there for $9.99. So I was happy with my omelet. Husband had Cherokee burger and fries and said it was good. He loved how crispy the fries were.

Friendly staff was a big plus. Sign on door said they have new management and new staff training coming 9/30/24 and the restaurant will be closed for that.

The staff were really pleasant and helpful while everything else was average. We ordered the Indian Tacos for take out. They were fine and we enjoyed them, but they weren't "the real thing". Would eat there again in a pinch, but won't seek it out.

I swear it gets better every day! All you can eat catfish was amazing!

I will add that they changed management mid September. So any reviews before then are irrelevant. I didn't care for this place before. But it's back to all of its glory.

Really nice area to stop and see. I went to the gift shop and they actually have a lot, they sell a lot of beautiful jewelry, clothes, cow pelts, and native American designed stuff. Definitely check it out and the mural on the wall.
