Brooklyn and Gabe are going places. Thanks for making my second visit even more memorable than the first!

On my first visit, I had the garden salad and chicken + dumpling soup. The salad was very fresh and perfectly portioned, but the soup was extremely salty (- it should be noted that I don’t consume a lot of salt, so this might be okay for a lot of people).

On my second visit, I ordered the baked chicken with sides of whipped potatoes, mushrooms and spinach. It was PERFECT. Gabe whipped up a custom jalapeño margarita to accompany that and I had A TIME!!

Will definitely return dinner & bar service in the future! May even try the daytime service 🙂

This was a great place! We were very impressed with the portion sizes and the food was amazing! My husband loved the chicken fried steak & eggs. I had a traditional breakfast, and it did not disappoint.

Classic cafe, half museum half cafe. It was completely remodeled since my college days, but the chicken fried steak was very good as was the Mac n cheese. Loved the green bean side dish. Must eat when in Huntsville.

Nice place on the square downtown Huntsville. Friendly service and good atmosphere.
Diane had the Breakfast on the Square with scrambled eggs and bacon and biscuits with gravy. Everything was fresh, seasoned and done just right. The gravy was perfect.
I had the make your own omelet with cheese, spinach and mushrooms. All fresh ingredients and tasty. I also had the hashbrown casserole. Highly recommended.
Next door is a very neat small museum with some very interesting items. Letters from past president's (starting with Washington) and a unique American flag from Lincolns time. Worth the extra couple of minutes after eating.
Overall, highly recommended two thumbs-up ? ?

Exceeded expectations. Troy was super nice and genuinely seemed to care about our dining experience. Olivia is a great representative for your restaurant and would make a fine employee for any company. Good food. Relaxing atmosphere NO drama. You could not want anything more. There's a free museum next door. Do not miss!

We visited Cafe Texan last week for a late lunch and had the best experience. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the short ribs with mashed potatoes, and I had the chicken fried steak. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was soothing and quiet, making it easy to chat. This is another Texas Bucket List recommendation that knocked it out of the park.

BEST breakfast/brunch place in Huntsville!!! I absolutely love coming here. Everything so good from their avocado toast to their country eggs benedict. I have had so many great memories eating with friends and family at this restaurant. They are very accommodating for those picky eaters and even those who have gluten allergies. I have so many favorite dishes here that I can't just choose one. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!!
