Even with a reservation, my party and I still had to wait another 20 minutes or so before we were seated. Once seated, we were greeted right away by our hostess, which was a nice touch. We ordered and received our food fairly quickly, and everything we had was very good. I ordered the Caesar salad with fries, while the rest of my party enjoyed the risotto and beef short ribs. The food was flavorful and satisfying, making it the perfect hearty lunch we needed after walking around and enjoying the rides during the holidays. Overall, despite the initial wait, the experience was enjoyable, and I’d recommend Café Orleans for a delicious and relaxing break during your Disneyland visit.

Cafe Orleans was my first table service experience at DL- we've got plenty of quick service faves.

Food: stone fruit salad 10/10
chicken gumbo 8/10
mint julep 8/10

Service: 10/10
Service was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable.

Ambience: 10/10
What a great spot to sit and watch boats on the water and Disney fans float by.

Reservation: I joined the walk-up queue when I entered the park that day.

The stone fruit salad included plums, burratta cheese, crispy prosciutto, pistachios, and pickled onions, with a balsamic vinaigrette. Loved this salad and hope it will be available next summer (Aug 2024)

The cup of chicken gumbo was the perfect accompaniment. It was flavorful but not too spicy.

I will definitely eat at Cafe Orleans again.

This place is the perfect spot to grab some food when you are in the New Orleans area. We got in que for a table, got on Pirates of the Caribbean and when we got off the table was ready. Food was good and affordable for Disney. The mint juleps are free refills and you can get your refills to go. Portions of food were good too.

Monte Cristo is a must try here. It's gotten smaller than from how I remember it, but it is a staple Disney item. My chicken was buttered. I wish it had come with sauce for flavor. Staff is very nice. I didn't enjoy the vegetables. They were too hard for my liking.

In our many Disneyland visits, this was our first time dining at Cafe Orleans. The hostesses could have been more friendly and welcoming, but we were at least seated right away. We were seated at their outdoor patio which was nice except the many fruit flies buzzing around your head. The restaurant was quite packed and the tables also felt close to one another. Our waiter was pleasant, but the service was slow. The restaurant also doesn’t have a bathroom. Customers would have to leave the restaurant, walk down this alley way around shops for the nearest facility.

We ordered the stone fruit, burrata and prosciutto salad. A well balanced dish with its sweetness, creaminess and saltiness. The only down side was that the stone fruit attracted more fruit flies. The buzzing was annoyingly unpleasant. We also ordered a Caesar salad appetizer. The dressing was tasty, but the lettuce wasn’t chopped which is something I really dislike. I prefer my salad already cut and ready to eat.

For our entree, we chose beef bourguignon and Cajun butter roasted chicken. The beef bourguignon was amazingly delicious! The meat was tender, the carrots sweet, mashed potatoes perfectly complemented the dish and there was plenty of sauce. The roasted chicken in comparison was boring. Chicken was still moist, but could have used more seasoning. For my drink, I ordered their bourbon julep and it wasn’t my favorite. It tasted too much of mint and nothing else.

We paid $153.62 (with tip). Overall, the food was satisfying and we would give them another try, but please hold the fruit flies.

Everyday at Disneyland is a lovely day. This restaurant has a small menu of excellent selections. We had the shrimp pasta and highly recommend the Monte Cristo sandwich with pommel frittes, so good! A large turkey, ham and cheese sandwich donut dipped and fried with a delicious jam on the side. Well priced with outdoor seating, if you're blocked out of Blue Bayou this isn't a bad choice.
