Cafe Kindred in Falls Church is an absolute gem! This small, cozy spot offers fantastic customer service, with fast, friendly staff who make you feel right at home. It's a perfect spot for families, but also great for solo diners with a bar area.

Although it has a bakery vibe, the breakfast options are abundant and delicious. I ordered the American breakfast with potatoes, croissant, eggs, and sausage, and it was incredibly fulfilling—such a satisfying meal for a very reasonable price. My boyfriend had the pancakes, bacon, and eggs, and he couldn’t stop raving about it. The pancakes were perfectly fluffy and sweet, the bacon crispy, and the eggs cooked just right. Even the cappuccino was a treat—cute presentation, and we added simple syrup to sweeten it to our liking.

We spent a total of $44, and every dollar was well worth it. The quality, flavor, and portion sizes left us more than satisfied. Being just around the corner from our gym, we’ll definitely be returning and recommending this spot to everyone we know!

We came to Washington with my husband for his birthday, and close to the hotel in East Falls Church is located Cafe Kindred. We ate here the first day and had breakfast the last day, which was his birthday. This place has excellent service; the food is delicious, and the details on how the food is placed on the plate give an aggregated value. We highly recommend Cafe Kindred.

Really like this spot! From the outside, it looks like just another strip mall spot, but inside is so cozy and I love the brunch menu! I got two dishes because I was so intrigued. They had a brunch poutine that was pretty good and couldn't pass up. I can't really tell you what to get but I suspect you'll like most options and they also have some tasty desserts. There's a parking garage behind with entrance just to the left that you can park in as well in case you're looking for parking.

Came here with some friends on a Sunday and the hostess was extremely nice but the cashier had a bit of an attitude when we were ordering our food. I couldn’t hear what she said so I politely asked “I’m sorry, say that again?” And she gave me a stank face and repeated herself and her attitude showed that she didn’t want to be there. I’m an extremely nice and patient person but even I took some offense to it.

The food is tasty, but just above average. My iced latte was just okay. The ice melted by the time it arrived at our table and there was maybe 10% ice left so it was more watery than what I would have like.

We came on a super busy Sunday brunch, and the cashier accidentally messed up our order tickets. However, the manager (or the owner) was extremely helpful and nice. We didn’t say anything about the overtime wait, but he noticed our situation. For our second order, he directly gave us a complimentary treat and a cookie gift for our kids. We felt warm and cared for. Overall, the food was delicious too! We will definitely come back!

It is a cozy neighborhood restaurant with an eclectic ambiance. The food served here is comforting and tastes good. The place opens at 7 a.m. and closes at 3 p.m., making it an excellent place for breakfast and lunch. The coffee is good, and the service is nice. We have had breakfast here a few times and really enjoyed it. The menu also includes pastries, sandwiches, salads, burgers, wines, and other beverages.

Great spot- loved the service and atmosphere. Ordered a cappuccino and the egg and veggie skillet- my eggs tasted and smelled a bit weird. It was very off-putting, otherwise I'd have given them 5 stars. Not sure what happened there. My husband had their croissant breakfast sandwich and it looked amazing- should've had that instead. It was very busy when we went so it took a while to get coffee but the staff is awesome.
