We did come in around 8 o’clock. It was definitely not busy. The staff definitely talked more than service. There is plenty of drinks to choose from the menu had a wide variety of options. The service was quick atmosphere was very different as you can see. I really liked it. The bathrooms were a bit out. That’s why I took the pictures but they were clean. I personally didn’t feel very safe in the area. The parking lot that is close this was recently sold so it was $25. No part time or half day or anything else. So I would definitely pick the metered parking closest if you can find it as long as you don’t plan on being in more than two hours.

I give this meal a 3.5 but it has more potential so I give 4 overall. Service was also very good.
We got Buss up shut, nice flavors and a little spicy that comes with tasty corn bread.
Now the coconut Curry was just average, not enough flavor, lacking some salt, and the roti it came with was very oily.
Add jackfruit instead of tofu, it’s better.

I have been eyeing this place for quite a while but hadn't has the opportunity to stop until today. I had pretty high hopes based on all of the reviews.

Maybe tonight was a bad night? We started with the curry fries and fry bread. The fries were hot but the curry was cold. The flavor was excellent. The fry bread, in my opinion, had almost no flavor. They were just triangles of bread fried and served with ranch.

We then ordered the stew (insane!!!! But was hoping for a bigger portion for the $17 price tag), the cubano (not much flavor and the jackfruit tasted canned).

Then I ordered the mofango. I LOVE Mofongo. This one was inedible. The plantain/potato was mushed to literal baby food consistency, rolled into a lump and fried. The inside was cold and so so mushy. The sauce was great, but again cold.

I ended up taking the cubano and the slaw that came with the stew home. The rest was thrown out.

I am so sad I spent $77 and left most of the food there. The vibe was 100%. Beautiful decor!

Such a cool atmosphere. Had a hard time deciding what to order because everything sounded so good. Ended up choosing the dirty banana, plantains, doubles, potato and plantain mofongo, and coconut curry. The doubles and mofongo are must tries!

Why aren't 6 star reviews possible? This beautiful place exceeds all expectations, and the happy hour is so phenomenally priced that locals need to know this is the place to be in CapHill! The vibe is a hidden gem while chilling in the innovative sustainable evaporative cooling on hot days. Did I mention the delicious menu? I'm not even vegan, but the authenticity of the food delivers to any palate. Do the Doubles & Doubles and Coconut Bread to understand how happy hour can be elevated to ECSTATIC hour! Say hi to Rachel and Natasha at the bar. The staff at Bang Up' is outstanding.

We came in about 10 minutes before closing and were immediately greeted and sat my a very nice man. Our server came over and told us the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes and if we knew what we wanted. We asked for a couple minutes so we could pull up the menu on our phones. Server came back a few minutes later and we gave her the entire order. Drinks arrived after the food started being dropped off. The server also forgot to bring out the peas and rice we order because she never wrote our order down. Server only checked up on us once throughout the meal and when we asked for boxes, she dropped them off and gave us the check. Total experience was 55 minutes.
Food was awesome! And the drinks were really fun. The fried cauliflower and coconut bread were incredible. A must have.

This place is so beautiful and the food is amazing! We tried the Mofongo, Cubano and Coconut curry and each dish was so flavorful. The service wasn’t very prompt, but it is a laid back, slower vibe so it was all good. Highly recommend.

I had an excellent time at Bang Up to the Elephant on Saturday. It was my birthday, but it was just me and two friends there for happy hour. Hadley made sure that it was special. Her kindness made my night.

The service will convince me to go back, but also the food! Definitely order the Callaloo and coconut bread! Those were my favorites!
