Food is wonderful from here. The best Chinese restaurant in Chinatown in Newcastle that we stumbled upon couple months ago. The waiters are very helpful & friendly, there is a huge choice to choose from from the menu which also includes pictures of the food they serve, which makes choosing what you want even easier! And the food is delicious to a very high quality. Will be going back again & again. Prices are very reasonable as well. You won't get better in Stowell Street than Amaysia! ?

It’s my first time visiting this city and restaurant. I truly enjoy Chinese food and the visit to this place was totally worth it. Restaurant was very clean and tidy. Staff were helpful and kind, they checked if food was ok and if I needed anything. Food came pretty fast, portion was enough for the price paid and menu booklet was very thick! Plenty of options - a bit of Chinese, Malaysian, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, etc.
Will definitely come here again whenever I visit Newcastle. Even the toilets were very clean and tidy and loved the Chinese songs in the background!

Food was good and taste mostly familiar to me in its Southeast Asian character. The nasi lemak exuded clear coconut fragrance, with chickens crisply fried, yet not dry. The beehoon in the Singapore Hokkien Mee was flavoursome, with abundant fresh prawns. Portions were also generous. However, ingredients could be slightly more for the glass noodle dish. Service was rendered with smiles and pride. When we mentioned our Teh Tarik was missing its characteristic foam and was not hot, the glasses were whisked off and returned in a jiffy, super foamed and comfortably heated up. Definite winner.

We arrived around 7 pm on a Saturday evening and had to wait around 15 minutes for a table. We were slightly unhappy, however, that a family who arrived after us were seated before us, but perhaps they had a reservation.
The menu is a huge booklet with a massive food selection, and it's helpful that they also have pictures of the food. The service was fast and the food portions were quite big.
I ordered the stewed beef and tendon with rice. The taste was good, and most of the beef was tender. However, some of the beef pieces were a little chewy.
I also tried some of the other dishes, which were all equally tasty, but it was all very standard and nothing out of the ordinary. Each big main dish with rice or noodles was around £12.50 so it was a very good value for money, so I would certainly come back again.

Gorgeous! Not only were we spoilt for choice and given very friendly service, they also cater to vegetarian choices and gluten free, making it easy to go no matter what dietary requirements our group has. We really enjoyed our meal and look forward to trying more.
