I cannot wait to come back! What an awesome bakery! As you walk in the door you are greeted with a warm welcome, they have a deli on the left and a bakery full of goodies on the right. We visited strictly the bakery for our visit.. they had such a wide variety it was tough to choose so we got a few different things and every single item was delicious! We would love to come back and try some more goodies and try out their deli! Shout out to Mark for being so nice and helpful, explaining everything and helping us navigate the bakery on our first time visit!

Alessi Bakery continues the tradition started over 100 years of baking real Cuban that has branched into sandwiches, pastries, cookies, decorated cakes, and holiday specialties like gingerbread houses. Today I found gingerbread houses ready to be decorated, and others with holiday green and red, Hannukah colors, a Florida Gator gingerbread house, and marshmallow snowmen. Amid the holiday cookies and cakes, I found the outstandingly standard tres leches cake, banana brad parfait cups, mini key lime pie, and an innovative coconut cream horn.
This is the place to try a Cuban sandwich that is wrapped for carry out or ask for made to order and pressed. This is also the place for real Cuban coffee and cafe con leche.
Great indoor seating area in main room with the sandwich prep, and bakery section or in a more secluded area with tables and chairs. There are a few out door tables on the small covered, sunny patio.
Great service today with everyone working on walk-on customers and holiday catering orders.

Alessi bakery was our wedding cake and dessert bar vendor. The cake was not only beautiful but absolutely delicious! We chose strawberry cake with buttercream and guests were coming up to us commenting on how good it tasted and how beautiful it was. The dessert bar was also a huge hit, full of chocolate strawberries, black & white cookies, cannolis, cheesecakes, etc.

Alessi Bakery is a long established bakery in downtown Tampa. It is family owned and operated. There is a deli side that features Cuban food and sandwiches. All are made while you wait. But my personal favorites are the bakery items. They feature cakes, pies, and individual desserts that are a feast for your eyes and mouth. We have enjoyed many of these treats during individual spontaneous visits as well as pies, cakes, and deserts for special occasions such as birthdays, graduations, and on 2 occasions weddings. Their desserts are a treat all the time. I hope you keep supplying these scrumptious delights to Tampa for another 100 years.

Love stopping here for lunch or the many sweet treat selections. Have been coming for years. The staff is always great and helpful. Everything we get is delicious. The butter finger cone was amazing ?, as well as the German chocolate brownie. Love their sandwiches to. Oh and the made to order lemonade ?.

Alessi bakery did my wedding cake a few months ago and we loved it!
For my step daughter's 10th birthday she requested a custom cake and Alessi Bakery delivered that and more! Absolute 10/10, followed instructions to a 10, very communicative, perfect execution on looks and flavor. Thank you for making her birthday a success!!

I discovered Alessi Bakery on my first trip to Tampa, over ten years ago.
It has become a MUST VISIT for every subsequent trip.
The staff is welcoming and professional from the top down.
Everything from coffee to their Cuban sandwiches, from Tomato Pie to go, to a deli counter with additional grab and go options and aisles and counters of desserts is made to eye-teasing and mouth-watering perfection.
My favorite is the Italian cookies. They honor old, traditional recipes and the taste and texture are as good as any found in Venice or Florence.
They did not disappoint!

Very nostalgic place. Everything from the staff to the food is perfect. The food is fresh, authentic, local and well made with care. The staff is very friendly. We love coming here. Best cannolis in Tampa.
