Checked in at 7:06 didn't get seated till 8pm food didn't arrive until 8:54. The cook was amazing the waitress took forever. And the soup and salad took forever to arrive after we ordered

I was invited in the international parlance by a friend. She demanded we get the full sized sushi boat tray. I knew it was too much food. I loved it. There was a fair amount of fresh flavors and interesting combinations. I really enjoyed the Hamachi. We sat at the bar and ended up conversing with the chefs. They gave us a variety of house made sauces and dressings, and it was delicious. I believe we had some sake? I had a few Sapporos which I enjoyed. We tapped in a friend who happened to be nearby and he did his best to assist and we still took boxes home. I ordered the bread pudding for dessert and upon Robert's recommendation we also tried the fried ice cream dessert x2. That being said I believe the large boat serves about 5+. I really appreciated the education I was able to receive from the chefs. Overall it was an amazing, memorable dining experience.

When looking for the best Japanese restaurant in Fresno, this is the place!
Great service, excellent cocktails and delicious sushi rolls … what more can you ask for from a Japanese restaurant? I’ve eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. Their dessert menu and decaf coffee is the perfect way to experience a delectable meal, especially with friends and family.

Me and my friends go here so many times I lost count. But we always get treated very well we don't ever complain or rush servers. We always tell them to take their time if they get backed up. I always sit at the sushi bar, and I've noticed that every time I come in, it's the same guy taking care of us. His name is Lorenzo. He is a super nice guy. We always ask him to make us his favorite rolls. They are all delicious he surprises me every time. I love this spot so much!

This was my fiancée and I first time coming to Takumi. Definitely not what I expected and exceeded beyond my satisfaction. We ordered baked rolls and got desert. Very friendly staff all around, very spacious and the perfect amount of noise. Very clean cooks and chefs, they take great care of the food and customers. Also representation was astonishing, so fun to eat here! It can get pricey but definitely worth every bill.

Been coming here for years and good chefs come and go. This time around we had an amazing chef who kept us entertained and prepared a good meal. Sometimes coming to these places you may not have the best experience but today was great. Hopefully the next time we can request this same chef.

Service is always great. Husband and I went for a late lunch, sat right away. Food seemed a little different from my last visit particularly the shumia. Pork Katsu curry plate was huge and yummy, not a fan of sweet potato but the curry and cutlet was good. My husband got the dragon roll which he enjoyed. And for his sashimi 10 piece they gave him the option to do all his favorite fish (butter fish). I think that was a first for us! Bonus points! Heart attack was packed with flavor, jalapeño was fresh. We always go for sushi, we haven’t tried the teppanyaki yet. All in all this is our neighborhood sushi spot and we are happy with it!

I've visited a few good tepanyaki restaurants in fresno, but this one was by far the best one I've been to so far. I ordered the chicken and shrimp. The shrimp was so delicious, and the chicken was so tender. Everything was perfectly seasoned. Our cook was very nice, funny and entertaining.. our waitress (Alejandra) was on top of every drink and every request we had, which made our experience that much more enjoyable. Can't wait to visit Takumi again.

Finally visited Takumi again and everything was on point the staff was friendly and helpful when we were ordering. I got the New york strip bento box, and everything was delicious ?

3rd update: 8/14/24

Visited for a 3rd time today for lunch and ordered the soft shell Crab for an app and ordered the New york steak bento box again. You can't beat the price for this quality of food. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The staff was so nice and friendly.
