We recently visited a new sushi restaurant in town that serves sushi and other Asian dishes, and my experience was a bit of a mixed bag. Here’s a breakdown:

Food:
The sushi rolls were the highlight of the meal—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It’s clear they’ve put thought into the quality of their sushi offerings. While I didn’t try any of the other Asian dishes, the menu had a diverse selection, which could be a draw for people who enjoy variety.

Service:
The service, unfortunately, was where the experience faltered. After our initial order was taken, the staff didn’t check back to see if we needed anything else. Adding to this, the manager made a point to visit and check on every table—except ours. It felt a bit off-putting, and it definitely impacted the overall vibe.

Ambiance & Convenience:
The restaurant has plenty of parking, which is always a plus, and the interior was clean and welcoming. However, the service aspect slightly overshadowed these positives.

Extras:
They offer lunch specials that include either soup or salad, which is a nice touch for midday diners.

Overall Impression:
While the sushi rolls are undeniably good, the uneven service left something to be desired. If they can address the service inconsistencies, this spot has great potential to become a local favorite.

I had the Pad Thai and my wife had the Vegetable Tempura, both were made with high quality ingredients and were very satisfying. The service is also wonderful and the owner even came to each table for feedback for the chef or the restaurant. We will be back. What I can't understand is how on earth they managed to get a 1 Star review 3 weeks before they opened

Tried the Dinner for Two and their honey walnut shrimp with fried rice and both were so yummy! Service and food were brought super quick for our party of ten! The vibes at night were great ^_^

I’ve been here twice and OMG look at my pics. The food is so fresh and flavorful and the drinks are amazing. This place has officially become my spot. The environment is friendly and I keep hearing the same thing from others sitting at the bar. It’s just that good. The menu is huge and I haven’t even made it to the sushi yet. Don’t walk run to this place. You won’t regret it.

Very nice, new addition to Forney! I had the Red Rose Roll (shown in picture) and it was delicious! A little spicy, which I loved. My husband had the Mongolian beef and that was really good too. Our waiter was very nice and attentive and the atmosphere was nice and cozy for the time of the evening we came. My family and I will definitely be coming back!

My husband and I ate here last Friday. I had been waiting on this place to open, and it did not disappoint! I reallllyyyy enjoyed the Coconut shrimp from the starter section. My husband had the orange chicken and I had the spicy szechuan. The orange chicken was really good and my dish was a 3.5/5. Next time, we're going for sushi! So far, the atmosphere was nice, quiet, and clean. Our waiter, Nina, was nice!

Service was good. The tempura was good, but the sauce it came with tasted like it had wasabi in it (which I am not a big fan of). Additionally, I will pass on the Rangoons (not enough filling inside). The Hawaii roll and the volcano roll were good though.

It’s so hard to find good food that actually meets your expectations. The dishes I have tried are the sushi rolls and orange chicken. The presentation of them is beautiful. The flavor is amazing and the portion is large. Definitely shareable! The place is clean, and the ambiance is romantic relaxing perfect for date night.
