Simple environment that feels like an old time diner crossed with a chain restaurant. They have their own bakery. I got the Chicken Florentine (basically a scramble with chicken, spinach, tomatoes and cheese) - it was good. I got it with grits - I’ve never really had grits so can’t say if it was better than or worse than it should have been. Served plain, I added salt and butter - I liked it. Also got the pancakes, they were ok - I expected more/better ? they had a mild after taste, a little bitter like if u used baking soda that didn’t mix in quite right. So that put me off but someone else on my table ate them without noticing that taste. So for me, not my favorite pancake.? Someone else got a biscuit that I tried and that was good and flaky, more to my liking.

I always enjoy stopping at Chubby's when I'm in the area! I've gotten to know the staff members and a lot of the regular customers personally and they're a blessing. The energy at this place is great and I'm always impressed by the cooks! I know how packed the place gets on weekends, but I recommend breakfast and/or lunch any weekday for the best experience.

Mayra, was my server and she proved to be one of the best waitresses I’ve ever encountered. She was attentive, speedy but not needy, she was sweet and calm in her demeanor and, as I watched her, she made all her guests feel great about being there. I heard two different tables state that she had gone above and beyond.

I must state that this little restaurant reminds me of an old town breakfast house. One that you want to return to every week or even every day as they make you feel like family and home.
I ordered French toast with soft scrambled eggs and my meal was incredibly good and, as we all know, eggs are the defining gauge as to the quality of a breakfast place. (They have much more than breakfast) my eggs were absolutely perfect, maybe the best eggs I have ever eaten at a restaurant.

I am glad I came in and gave Chubbys a try. You will be very happy you did.

Co-workers and I came here for lunch during the breakfast hours. This place was good the waitress was super nice and got our food out pretty quick. I was quite impressed. We enjoyed ourselves for the time that we were there and the checkout was quick as well.

if I could, I’ll leave zero stars this place. I ordered the meatloaf through Uber and when I received my food, what I received was a burnt piece of meat and the rolls that I got are hard as a rock. I contacted the store the store manager I believe I didn’t get her name said it’s not her problem. She blamed the Uber driver, I’m like what the Uber driver do. he went home and overcook it come on make sense. This is horrible. I will be contacting the city of Dallas and shown them this and you will be hearing from me. This is ridiculous. This is nasty and unacceptable.

The service left a lot to be desired. The wait person seemed like their job was the last place they wanted to be. I had to ask twice to get their name. Had to ask to order. Luckily, the food was great. I had the country skillet with pancakes and enjoyed it immensely. The coffee was good yet we had to flag down refills. I will comeback again. I will request a different server. Food is what keeps the score up otherwise the service would have tanked this review.

Went in a breakfast with friends from out of town. I liked the old time dinner feel. The waitress was nice but definitely not attentive, she spend most of her time in the back. We needed refills that never came, we would ask her for something and she would forget. The restaurant wasnt busy to blame that. She brought my friend chicken friend chicken instead of chicken friend steak, we didn't mentioned it since it had ready taken a while to come out. Then brought all of our food except 2 orders of pancakes that never arrived ?‍?. My son had the kids pancakes so since mine didn't come I tasted his and honestly I didn't miss out on much. The pancakes tasted really grainy and undercooked. My friend did mentioned that his chicken fried chicken was really good. I got the breakfast sampler and the bacon was the only good thing from it. Definitely not somewhere I would recommend sadly. It's close to home so I was hoping for a better experience.
