This place is more the hype of it and where it’s at, than the actual quality of the food. This restaurant overall was very beautiful and caught the eye, it also has nice live music. Drinks were okay and refreshing. The food.. not the best, overpriced and came to the table cold. I got the Peruvian chicken bowl and the chicken was dry and without any flavor. Definitely my food was not worth its price.. customer service was okay, felt the server was only going to another specific table more than others. I don’t think I’ll be coming back to Mariposa

I’m a foodie from NYC. My wife and I just got back recently from Portugal and Ghana. The food here is authentic, fresh and sourced well. My server Colleen was attentive and sweet.
As in any good quality establishment the Mgr. Chris took the time to make sure everything was satisfactory. An extra benefit of coming here.
We will definitely be back. Kudos to the Chef!
Topped off with a perfect cheesecake and a double espresso shot !!! Yes!

I recently went to check out mariposa with my family and friends, when we arrived they refused to sit us down because “ we were way to much people” and that they didn’t have enough utensils to eat. The manger was super rude and disrespectful. It was a disappointing visit, and I won’t be coming back anytime soon.

At first the girl in the cream colored blouse served us super well and told us she would sit us at the bar and we accepted, then the lady in the black blouse came and simply said NO and we asked her why and she said “We don’t have enough cutlery to serve you” I wonder how in a restaurant where there were already unoccupied tables with their services on the table ? already ready they come to tell us that, I consider it something very out of place, it is unfortunate that we travel from very far away to spend a pleasant afternoon and she treats us like that and lies to us in that way, how can you imagine that she does not have enough cutlery for the diners, I mean if someone at a table drops a piece of cutlery I will not be able to replace it with a clean one because she does not have enough. It is a very bad lie.

My wife and I were both disappointed with the quality of food and service at Mariposa. We ordered the paella but returned it to the kitchen after only a few bites of the rice because we could not continue because it was too salty. We replaced it with the scallops which were also salty. The octopus was salty, chew and a very, very small plate. The duck was the only good one in the 4 dishes we tried. It's one thing to eat bad expensive food and be full, but it's another to eat bad food and walk away hungry.

We ordered the tropical sunrise drink and as you can see in the picture, it doesn't look anything like a sunrise, so that was also disappointing.

The ambiance was great and was the only thing worthwhile.

Mariposa is a lovely restaurant with a courteous and helpful staff. I found the focaccia on the salty side, but my dinner companion was fine with it. I ordered fish on a pureed vegetable of some kind and a beet garnish. It was savory and lovely, but not hot.

Our first time here, why did it take us so long? This is a beautiful restaurant next to the Mint Museum uptown. Everything we have was amazing. Terrence and staff took excellent care of us and explained the menus, and made great recommendations. There are plenty of options to share plates so you can sample many dishes. They have indoor and outside patio. Lovely decor and very clean. We will be back to try more things on the menu. We visited again and tried more small plates. Emily, our server was the best! Her attention to our conversation got us 2 cherries in our whiskey sour (not pictured)

This restaurant is great! The view is great. I had the seared scallops, duck arepas, and whipped ricotta. Food was brought out pretty quickly. All the dishes were sooo delicious. I sat at the bar, and Zach was super accommodating, and made a very tasty cocktail 🙂

We decided to celebrate a special occasion at Mariposa over dinner. The restaurant did not disappoint, it delivered a delightful culinary experience that seamlessly blended Moroccan and Mediterranean flavors. Our dining adventure kicked off with the Moroccan Mezze Board, a vibrant tapestry of tastes. We continued our journey with a fascinating fusion of cultures. The Bakaliaros Skordalia offered a creamy, garlicky counterpoint to the crisp, salty cod. To cap off our meal, the Chocolate Tres Leches Cake was an indulgent masterpiece. Rich, moist, and decadent, it was the perfect ending to a memorable dining experience. Our server too was knowledgeable, attentive, and made excellent recommendations. Overall very satisfied.. will be back.
