Very very good food. The rice that took 14 hours prepare - amazing flavor profile.

The service stood out due to one person being allergic to soy - not severely just it seems make them flush - so they asked what dishes to avoid ordering (only for her). The chef came out personally spoke with her then when back and marked up the menu for her to know exactly what had soy vs not. Then for one dish he made a special black vinegar dipping sauce as a soy substitute for her. Very thoughtful.

Fantastic food experience at the creative food concept M Test Kitchen. We tried just about everything on the menu and all was good. Lots of flavor and innovation on all of the menu items and we all left happy. Ashlyn was excellent and very accommodating to our large table with 3 different generations as guests. You should know that the menu changes and the portions are small, so be prepared to share and try new things. The dining room is small and bit of an industrial feel so not the most cozy of places, although the location is good in Fenton. Nice large bar to grab a small dish and a drink.

As with any M restaurant, this one did not disappoint. From the service to the food, all top notch!
You can't go wrong with M for special occasions or a radom Thursday date night. We are regulars at all locations, but this was our first visit to Test Kitchen. It also has outdoor seating available, which is nice. Definitely recommend reservations, but it seems like occasionally, they have walk-in space available.

Cool vibes and really tasty food! Creative concepts and we will definitely be coming back! Everything was amazing but some of our favorites starters were the okonomiyaki tots and the crispy chicken skin!

Incredibly inventive - and most importantly delicious - small plates. Every element of the restaurants works perfectly together and the food is unlike any you will find in the region. Highly recommend the seaweed ice cream with caviar, the smoked tofu topped salad, and the XO fried rice.

We sat outside on a beautiful Friday night. No issue getting a table and lovely atmosphere. We got the gem salad and pork belly for first course. Second course we got the lobster shumai. Third course we got the fried rice and the green curry. Beverages we got the wasabi martini which I was initially hesitant but turned out being delicious! And the Proximity IPA. Service was A++ with incredible recommendations and set the tone for our meal.

Would absolutely recommend the 2 dishes from first course, the gem salad is special and the pork belly is very unique and unreal flavors. I loved the shumai, the best part was the black vinegar. I would 1000% get all courses again but keep in mind all dishes should be shared.

Update: Enjoyed dinner on their patio. It was a beautiful evening and there was music at Dram & Draught which we could easily hear while eating. We shared several small plates including the shishito peppers, salmon tataki, xo fried rice, and grilled denver steak. All were good but really liked the shishito peppers and the xo fried rice. We are still more impressed by the meals we have had an M Pocha.

Went to M Test Kitchen and sat at the bar for cocktails. Honestly, I have loved our visits to M Pocha in Durham so my expectations were very high. Had The Triad and the Japanese Highball. Both were very good but the bar game at M. Pocha is so unique and I was expecting at least that here given the Test Kitchen environment. I expected to see a shelf of homemade bitters, shrubs, syrups, infusions. The bar tender was very friendly, so no complaints there, but please step up the cocktail menu.

Food glorious food....there are restaurants trying out concepts and then there is M Test... testament to keeping it simple, personal and memorable!
Chef and his team are on point with the food with each plate upping the ante ... Lobster shumai was the star and we had to go back for seconds...ending with an amazing dessert!
Thank you for an amazing evening..
