Such an incredible dining experience. Kosen is a work of art, and I am so thrilled to have this caliber of a restaurant in my backyard. This was the best fish I have ever had. My husband and I struggled to land on a favorite dish because it was that hard to choose because every dish was just phenomenal.

After learning that the restaurant had received a Michelin star, we were eager to try Kaiseki Omakase; however, our experience fell below our expectations.

Having tried various Omakase options in different cities, including Tokyo, many of which have earned Michelin stars, we expected this restaurant to meet our high standards, especially given its higher price point. While we appreciated the non-alcoholic drink pairing, which added an interesting twist to the meal and complemented the food for a unique experience, Omakase's overall quality and taste did not justify the cost.

We appreciate the staff, especially Andrea and Mike, for thoroughly explaining each dish. The ambiance was trendy and minimalistic, with Asian influences, creating a sleek atmosphere. We also found the staff very welcoming.

The Hungry Taiga

There’s not one bad thing I can say about this place. From upon entering to leaving, service was impeccable. I love the exclusivity of being in a separate room with only so few people. There were a total of four guests during our time. We went to celebrate a birthday and I was often reminded of that by the well wishes the staff gave me. I andored the chef’s dry sense of humor. I’m extremely picky with drinks, i send them back 9/10 times ant places I go to. I was so impressed by what they offered here, I loved every sip. All of the food was phenomenal, beautifully displayed. I can’t wait to eat here again!

I visited Kōsen's Kaiseki Room the other night and was completely blown away by every aspect of the evening. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, the service was absolutely incredible. Our servers (Miles & Andrea) were very friendly and extremely attentive to even the most minor of details throughout the meal.

As a picky eater, I was a little nervous about this dinner. However, I quickly found I had nothing to worry about as I ended up loving every dish. The meal was truly an eye-opening experience as I happily finished every plate full of flavors I would typically try to avoid.

I was also lucky enough to enjoy the Non-Alcoholic beverage pairing and let me just say, if you're on the fence about it, do it!!
I truly felt as though the drinks complemented each course perfectly, even elevating the taste of the food in some dishes. The synergy between the food and N/A drink pairing was magical and definitely not something you should skip out on.

Overall, I cannot speak highly enough of this spot and hope you're able to make it in sometime, I'll definitely be back soon 🙂

Delicious omakase, fantastic chef and team, had a great night. Everything was so super fresh and delicious. Probably one of the best omakase experiences we have ever had. Will definitely be back to try the 9-course dinner. Highly recommended to anyone looking for delicious food in Tampa!

Booth experience was spectacular. I’ve been to plenty of kaiseki’s, and for me this was my favorite.

I would rank this over Koya if you are deciding which to go to..

Easily one of the best meals I’ve ever had, in a beautiful room dedicated to the omakase service. I have not tasted such amazing sushi outside of Japan, with such attention to detail and quality, as well as rarity. So glad we got to try Kosen before they got their Michelin star, which they definitely deserve.
