One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Miranda was a phenomenal bartender and server who took incredible care of me all night. The chef has done an outstanding job creating a unique menu that will exceed your expectations. The atmosphere is excellent. I would recommend this spot to anyone who is willing to listen. I will be back!

I went here for a date night with my girlfriend and we had such a great time thanks to our server, Mata. All of his suggestions were amazing from the wine, starters, entrees alllll the way to dessert. Highly recommend seating with Mata on your next visit.

new favorite! had been recommended to me by countless people for weeks on end and my boyfriend and i decided to go in for my birthday. the dining room was cozy, the staff was both knowledgeable regarding menu and enjoyable to chat with, we were amazed by every dish we tried AND our meal was coursed out perfectly. highly recommend the shaking beef, garlic noodles, and chocolate cake!

Love the hole-in-the-wall vibe that just so happens to offer a delicious and tastefully diversified menu. For those who are larger or prefer lounge seating, beware this is an intimate European-style venue. I recommend an appetizer and two entrees for a couple at a price point of $75/person.

Food was phenomenal- you can taste and see the care and the taste thought put into each dish. Service was just as I expected - watchful, attentive, anticipatory. My server Matah (sorry if I spelled it wrong, it was so loud and I was quite tipsy) was knowledgeable and kind, didn’t rush me at all which means a lot as a solo diner. I plan to come back with my family to share this delightful experience, hope to see Matah and the amazing staff at Mot Hai Ba soon ❤️

I don’t have enough words to describe how wonderful this place is. The food is incredible and unlike anything I’ve had in Dallas (and beyond), the staff is A++, and the overall feeling you get when you’re dining just feels like home. It’s small, intimate, and with just the right lighting. This is great for a date night or just to come by for a drink after work. I can’t thank the chef and servers enough for being as kind as they were to us last night. It made the experience even more special and I can’t wait to come back(it’ll probably be next week!). Please go try this wonderful place!

A snug and intimate restaurant that utilizes an exposed brick aesthetic to lend to its rusticity.

I had high hopes for this quaint place and it did NOT disappoint. Our experience was very much on par with that of a Michelin starred restaurant.

All the items were unique and enjoyable. Here's everything we ordered:

Market fresh oysters*: Simply divine. Highly recommend getting these. We ordered 4 between the 2 of us. Could've gotten 6.

Hamachi Crudo: Very interesting - a recurring theme you'll see in this review. We've usually seen hamachi crudos consist of oranges, but not this one. This time had strawberries.

Fried Avocado*: crispy and delicious. Also interesting.

Dauphiné Ravioli: Interesting and good. Good to have one time.

Crispy Vietnamese rice cake*: Very messy, but worth it! The rice cake with the various greens was an explosion of welcome flavor. Would get this again.

Shaking beef**: Freaking fantastic. Some of the most tender tenderloin I've had. Paired with the garlic noodles, *chef's kiss*. 5/5.

Kimchi and Foie Gras Dumplings: This included a table side presentation and that was the highlight because this was the only item we disliked. I felt the various flavors conflicted with each other.

Chocolate cake*: do not be deterred by the lack of flare in the name. For this was anything but an ordinary chocolate cake. Everything about this cake was delicious. Particularly the hazelnuts.

Our server was also very kind.

I'm very particular when it comes to giving a fine dining restaurant 5 stars, but I feel this place undoubtedly deserves it given the risk they take with each item and how they successfully deliver on each risk as well.

Our total was $203.

We look forward to visiting again.
