I had an amazing first experience at Sibu in Batley today! The customer service was absolutely top-notch. A huge shoutout to the staff member Aifa, who went above and beyond to help us choose the perfect sushi and made sure our visit was nothing short of perfect. The flavors of the food were incredible – proper, authentic, and delicious! Finding such high-quality food in Batley feels like hitting the jackpot. I 100% recommend this place to everyone. Can’t wait to visit again!

Food was perfect. Service was okay, could be better. Was greeted and shown to our booked booth. No explanation on how to order. You have to scan the QR code on the table and then get up and place your order and pay at the counter. Would be nice to explain this as it was out first time here. The drinks were room temperature so asked for glasses with ice. Which they sorted quickly. Food was good though, will be visit again.

Below average street food, poor sushi and overall not worth the money. When ordering I’ve asked for two bottles of sparkling water and the girl at the says we don’t have any, without evening looking at the fridge behind her. When I said look there are she still says no we don’t, until another staff told her just to go and put it on ? Like cmon it’s not that hard to remember 5 different type of drinks you have in the fridge? And then just dumps the food on the table. Honestly, some basic hospitality should be taught to the staff. Mixed up , didn’t double check the order. Typing this and wasting my time so that other people know it’s not great!

Very nice service and even better food. Bao buns were very soft and the salt and pepper wings were ace. Spicy chips were nice and saucy. The rice with the katsu curry needed more seasoning but was fine after adding the soy sauce

aifah was lovely towards us, all staff were in general. food was amazing and atmosphere/vibes were great.. would definitely recommend going if u enjoy different variety’s of foods and want to try something new!!

Quality place and happy that I stopped by on a random visit as it has been on my list for a while.

Just by chance it so happened I visited on a Wednesday when they have an offer of 50% off on street bites so ended up with a bit of everything.

Opted for the chicken wings (salt and pepper) - was a bit overdone with the salt and pepper but otherwise chicken was crispy and well served. 7/10

Gyosa: first time trying this and was crunchy, flavoursome and would defo have again. 9/10

Dynamite chicken, again made really nice, quality chicken used and plenty of sauce. 9/10

Pulled brisket bao buns 8/10
Amazing brisket, full of flavour and pulled apart easily, bao buns were steamed well and were nice and soft, maybe needed a bit more seasoning to brisket otherwise was spot on.

Korean wok and roll. 8/10
At this point was a bit full so saved this to take out but from what I tried it was full of flavour, nice and saucy just as how it should be.

Overall a good experience and would go again as I regretted not ordering more to try out.

The customer service wasn’t good. Staff need training on customer service: not paying attention when taking an order, bringing a bottle of water with no glasses, not asking how the meal is or afterwards. The steak was small and not the best. The noddles and buns tasted good but overpriced for portion size unfortunately. Nice concept but need to make big improvements, it seemed like the owner was telling the staff his life story behind the counter for the whole restaurant to hear instead of asking customers about their experience.
