I'm not sure if we were just there on an off night, but overall our experience was pretty poor.

The service was by far and away some of the worst I've ever experienced. Very infrequently checked in on and inattentive. Almost seems like the wait staff found waiting on us a nuisance. No bar tender on staff and took a very long time to even get cocktails.

I got the secreto paellav(iberico pork) and my wife had the a Banda (seafood), mine was cooked perfectly, flavorful, rice was fluffy. However my wife's was severely overcooked, 50%+ of her rice was burned into the skillet and the rest of her dish was so dry from overcooking it was borderline inedible.

The potato bravas were excellent though and one of the few highlights.

We will not be returning.

Awesome little find for us. We came from Justin, Texas to drop our daughter off at the Texas Theatre and decide to Google a place for dinner. Your reviews were awesome so we thought we would give it a try. The cuisine is "spot on" for Spanish cuisine. Viki and Mario were excellent front end staff. Please open this restaurant in Fort Worth!!!

Hip, great food, solid service, beautiful people. Great tapas selection, featuring a few things you don’t see very often. Get the cuttlefish. Get a cocktail.

Been wanting to try this place out and it did not disappoint! Super well done and cute on the inside. All the staff we encountered were very nice and super helpful. The tapas were excellent! Exceeded expectations. Great happy hour deals on drinks (awesome sangria for $8). Paella was our least fav dish of the meal but overall loved everything - and also appreciated that they wanted honest feedback on the food.
Wednesday nights they have a great industry night (includes hospitality people, teachers, etc).

Recommend: patatas bravas, eggplant, croquettes, shrimp, basque cheesecake, sangria.

Sketches of Spain serves a variety of food inspired mostly (but not solely) by Northern Spanish cuisine, including pintxos and Basque-style cheesecake. Several paellas are also available and everything is designed to share. We had a party of 5 and there was someone who liked everything we ordered. Perhaps with the exception of the sangria - the fruit was mostly pear which seemed odd for sangria. Some people might like it but not our favorite. It would have been nice if the server had told us which of the chef's choice pintxos he had brought, but that wasn't a huge deal because he told us when we asked. There was a paid parking conveniently located lot across the street.

I visited the place because it has very good reviews, but I was very disappointed. I ordered octopus and croquettes as an appetizer and they were very good, but I was mainly going to try the paella, but when ordering the paella they told me that on weekends they do not sell individual portions, even though it is on the menu, that they only sell the dish for two people, but I accepted and ordered it. Unfortunately the paella was horrible, half of the plate was completely stuck to the pan in which it was served to me, I couldn't eat it, the drinks were a little expensive for their taste, the only good thing was the attention of the waitress who unfortunately I don't remember her name, but he was very friendly and helpful.

The tapas here truly take you back to Spain. The service was wonderful and we loved all the suggestions the server made. Still not over the chocolate dessert.

I love everything here! It feels like a new restaurant since everything is so clean and put together. We tried the bravas and seared prawns to start. The sauce is so good on the prawns we used bread to soak it up. This was my first time eating paella and I really liked it. For the seafood version, there were small scallops throughout with 2 muscles and a shrimp on top. They had a happy hour so we got drinks. I really liked the house made sangria and my friend picked a wine for her. We did spend right at $100 together but we got 2 starters, 2 drinks each, and a paella to share. I do think it is worth it and I am glad I came. I recommend you try it out.

There is parking across the street and it was $7 for 2 hours.
