The atmosphere is nice and the place looks clean. I will dine in there to eat because I always get it delivered or to go. The front desk is always nice and helpful. The food is what I grew up eating by my Filipino family. The pansit is just like my mom's. My only complaint is my order was too salty (one time) on my order and man's. So I called to let them know. I use to be a cook in a busy restaurant. I'm sure you can always request less salt because every cook isn't the same and they will compare notes on how to satisfy the customers. I like the sinigang and pansit. Try the fried milkfish with garlic rice. It's my favorite.

I ordered food delivery to my hotel. I was so excited to have my Filipino dish. As I was having my third spoon full, I was showing and I felt crunchy and I thought it was a bone from the meat because I ordered nilagang baka, So disgusting because when I spit it out Found out that it's a plastic that looks like from a broken fork. This is ridiculous! I spent almost $60 including charges And not having to enjoy your food I ordered. I wouldn't recommend ordering food from this place anymore. They might probably recycling leftovers from customers that dining in the Restaurant...unsanitary!!! nakakahiya!!!!

We waited in line right before the restaurant opened. The line was already long but we were seated at our table relatively fast. The waiter took our order and gave us our water. Up to this point, everything was going as expected. Then we waited and waited for our food. The 2 tables seated 10 minutes after us got their food before us. Our waiter was nowhere to be found. They have so many waiters and waitresses working in pairs (training) but nobody came and checked on us or gave us update. We finally saw our waiter and asked to see where our order was and complained to him about the wait time. The manager came over, apologized for the delay but seemed annoyed with our complaints. We waited over an hour to get our food.

The fried chicken was good. Hot, crispy, and juicy. The french fries were cold and soggy. Pancit was good. Garlic fried rice was decent. Garlic pieces were burnt but not terrible. We got Halo Halo and as you can see in the pic, it was almost half empty. For 7 or 8 bucks, that wasn't worth it at all. We also had to wait 10-15 mins to get our receipt because one waitress decided to have a chat in the middle of her transaction and blocked the POS from our waiter to use.

I understand the restaurant just recently opened and a lot of things need to be ironed out but there was no excuse for inefficient service and management with the amount of people working. We were really excited to try Max's but after today's experience, we won't be going back there again unless they improve their service and food.

To start with , food tasted like any other chain . Decent and commercial. I ordered their fish fry , a pork dish and noodles . Fish was too salty for my taste , they should have sided it with rice or veg like how they have it In Philippines. The pork belly was blunt for me . Noodles was good , but nothing special . I would say it’s good for those who like those taste. But pricy for what you get though, but it’s understandable at these time. I wouldn’t go back .

Went here for snacks on a super hot summer afternoon. Halo-halo was good. But the Turon ala Mode was super delicious. Right amount of sweet from the turon and the caramel sauce, texture was perfect, banana was super soft and warm. Perfect with the ice cream. Only negative comment - wish the serving size was bigger.

The first photo was Max’s advertising (so inviting)
2nd and 3rd photos is what we got ! Plus the chicken

Management you need to change your oil so disgusting, we can’t even eat your crispy pata and chicken! Max has been known for their good and golden brown chicken , we go to their Glendale branch constantly !

Bakersfield is another story my second time eating their food ! and very disappointing dine in or take out ( see photos) got a Father’s Day promo to avoid cooking but we ended up cooking because of what we got from Max restaurant in bakersfield ! Packaging made all food saggy and soft not crunchy at all ….lumpia, chicken and pata !

Hopefully management will read this and make sone changes !

So happy more Filipino Restautant in Bakersfield a lot more to choose now. There was a line around 11:am and it went by quick. It was and good thing that there plenty of staff. Service was good Eventhough the server get confused because they are newly opened that's understandable. Food we ordered was Pancit Canton Chopsuey, Fresh Lumpia and Sago Gulaman drink. Everything was tasty. Thats all total to 52 dollars plus Tip. I definitely will be back again to try different food like Halo Halo and some fish.
