Unexpected treasure while traveling to Big Bend National Park. What amazing food. Everything we tried was perfection and more. Hearty fare kicked up a notch with thoughtful, flavorful innovative flavors and ingredient combinations make for a meal filled with subtle savory and sweet surprises. We started with corn rubs in secret sauce, yum. House salads trying both fantastic house made dressings. A Holstein Schnitzel entree with Red Cabbage and Crispy Potatoes and Ancho Chicken with Cilantro Rice and Charred Carrots, gorgeous plates in both flavor and appearance. You can taste the love and thoughtfulness in every bite. And finishing with a Roasted Pineapple Cheesecake, a creamy not-too-sweet delight. Impeccable friendly service, casual welcoming atmosphere in a charming historic home. And the prices were very reasonable for this amazing meal. Incredible. Not to be missed. Worth getting off the beaten path. We will be back.

Great atmosphere and DELICIOUS food....for starters, the ceviche is fresh and refreshing with crispy homemade tortilla chips. The corn ribs are a must to try. For entrees, don't sleep on the steelhead, Thomas knows what he's doing and he's doing it very well. Their ranch is AMAZING and the schnitzel is perfect every time!

As an added bonus, the sunsets here are magnificent and Dorn is such a joy!

Delicious food and dessert! A bit pricey but worth it. We will be coming back! I got the shrimp scampi pasta but substituted the shrimp for chicken. Delicious! Little man got the chicken bites with fries and for dessert, we got the turtle cheesecake and pineapple cheesecake. Both were amazing!

Dorn Michelle's is a cute little spot to hang out at with casual vibes. It made me feel like I was back at my grandma's house. The main entree was what we enjoyed the most that evening. I had the pork chop and my husband had the ribeye. Each dish was perfectly seasoned and the flavors were great.

The menu has a great variety of options that I'm looking forward to trying next time we make it out there. I personally wasn't crazy about the trio appetizer and the pineapple cheesecake dessert we got, but there were still good aspects about each dish.

They were pretty kid friendly and there was still easy access indoors if you have a wheelchair.

My husband and I came here for a date night while we stayed at the resort in town. We ordered one appetizer, three entrees and one dessert as all the photos made everything look delicious and we wanted to try a bit of everything. I’m sorry to say that each dish was disappointing.

Between the steak, the pork, and the chicken we were so confused as to why there were so many inconsistencies. Some things were under seasoned, over seasoned, no flavor, undercooked, or overcooked. The meals seemed thoughtful, but also didn’t make sense. Some of the flavors just didn’t taste good together and we regretted eating there.

Maybe this is for locals only, but if you’re from out of town you’d enjoy a pizza more than this and you won’t waste money. The pineapple cheesecake was disgusting and we ate enough of everything so that we didn’t look rude.

Was invited to Dorn Michelle’s by friends and it exceeded my expectations. Staff is welcoming, friendly, and super helpful when it comes to food item questions. With both an indoor and outdoors dining area, you can have your choice of views. Outside you get to see gorgeous sunset during the evening. Highly recommend for anyone passing through.

We have been seeing this place on a Facebook page that we are a part of, and people have been loving it! It just opened a few weeks ago on March 25th.

We arrived as soon as they opened, outside it looks like a small country house with a lot of parking! We walk up to the open door and a very nice lady was sweeping and she said hello and come on in, sit anywhere you like. So, we chose a seat inside the first room, and it was very nice inside, all new paint and furniture with nice decor.

She came back quickly, and we chatted about the weather a little and she took our drink and appetizer order. She quickly came out with our drinks, a few minutes later our app arrived! We ordered the Crab Rangoon, we got 6 of them with a great sauce! These Rangoon were great, seemed very fresh and handmade, not full of just cream cheese but with meat and veggies! Best Rangoon I've ever had!

We received our food about 12 minutes after that, I got the Pork Schnitzel plate! (Which was huge) The schnitzel was cooked perfectly and had good flavor I really enjoyed the cabbage and capers as well! My wife got the Steak and Frites (another huge plate), the steak was cooked a little more than she asked but was very tender, the Chimichurri had good flavor and also came with a horseradish sauce that was great, and a huge portion of fries or frites!

Stuffed to the brim we ordered the Pineapple cheesecake! The cheesecake was great! It came with a pineapple habanero sauce and walnuts! The sauce and nuts paired perfect with the cheesecake in my opinion.

Great family-owned place with great service! We will definitely check them out again and hopefully sit outside on a cool summer night!

My husband and I ordered the corn appetizer, which was pretty good! I also ordered a $40 steak that fell short of expectation.. It's definitely not worth the price. It came dry and overcooked, so definitely BYOSteak sauce just in case because they don't serve any. The customer service was wonderful. Our server was very friendly and was ready to give recommendations. We love to try new places but overall wouldn't return for the food ?
